Batman-The Dark Knight????!!!!!

What the heck kind of name is this for a coaster.  Well I must say it sounds similiar to superman: ride of steel.  Well it doesn't matter at least we know the crappy SFNE name for the new coaster now. (it was announced on their web page very early this morning.)  Hopefully, I'll be able to see more details soon.
-----------------
Six Flags really does care about SFNE in 2002
I don't see it up on their site as of right now...
"If coaster excitement is what you're looking for, then Six Flags New England is the place to be with Superman Ride of Steel, rated the "#1 Coaster on the Planet" by ParkWorld Magazine and the addition of the new for 2002 BATMAN-THE DARK KNIGHT! Climb 117 feet and soar over 2,600 feet of track at speeds of 55 mph in just 140 second! Catch the wave at Island Kingdom waterpark or explore the new Tiny Timber Town with the whole family"

 that kinda sucks1

I keep reloading the site and it still says:

"If coaster excitement is what you're looking for, then Six Flags New England is the place to be with Superman Ride of Steel, rated the #1 coaster on the planet by ParkWorld Magazine. Catch the wave at Island Kingdom waterpark or explore the new Tiny Timber Town with the whole family."

I still don't see this annoucement on the page. It's not anywhere on the media site either.
I just saw that little excerpt on the page.  The announcement isn't until 11:30am I believe, so more information will most likely be given then.

Gee... BATMAN, the Dark Knight....

Where are all those nay sayers who thought that this coaster would break the mold and be Bat Girl??

...That's what I thought!

Six Flags will never break tradition and go for other superheros or villans.

...It's here, it's here, it's here!!! Whooptie-freakin' doo!!
Ok, what's new for 2003?? I can't wait!!...

It's close enough they can get away with selling Batman Knight Flight Merchandise!

Don't, Don't Don't believe, Don't believe the hype.
Maybe I'm the only one who likes Batman enough that I'm glad they've finally named one of 'his' rides Dark Knight.

I'm right here.  What's your point?

Idle hands were orient to her.

I think the nam will grow on all of us. C'mon, this is Six Flags, who could honestly expect a very clever name for a Batman themed ride? I actually like the name, I think it'll be a cool ride.
I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for a well rendered layout.

As much as I'm getting tired of the "Batman" thing, it's about time they used the "Dark Knight" name somewhere.

Well, among the Batman rides, this is the best sub-title for one. I mean, it's better than "the ride" or "the escape." Maybe Knight Flight was better but not by much. I know I'm excited for this coaster though.

If you don't have it, get the Screamin' Serpent.

I dont know what all the complaining is about...so it is another Batman themed ride.  I am just happy to have something new and B&M coming to the northeast.  I just haven't figured out how they are going to link the queing to Superhero Adventures.

Phly the Phoenix
Think about it this way, usually if they have a Batman or Superhero ride the theming is usually pretty cool.

Is it the roar of Kumba or the kumba of Roar? Discuss!

Wasn't there a new Dark knight returns book just released also in dec, if your a fan of batman the dark knight series(1986) is great its was when Superman went at it with Batman.

Sure Batman has lots of cool gadgets and stuff, but Superman's powers are inherent.  In a fight, the Man of Steel would kick the Dark Knight "to infinity and beyond"...and that's no (Toy) Story!

If they're going to keep using the same Batman names, I'd like to see one themed to the old campy 60's show. :)

How many of you are old enough to remember watching that show as a kid? I'm 28 and they were on every afternoon (in reruns) - I loved them.
