Arrow Hypers or B&M Hypers?

Almost everything seems "ehh" next to SRoS for me. Maybe cuz it's my home park, I guess I got spoiled from it a little.

But back the original question Arrow vs. B&M?? That's a def. no brainer. Anyone who'd take an Arrow over a B&M has def. ridden them to the point where they have no brain cells from the beatings. =)

Haven't heard anything about Pepsi Max Big One yet. Its not that great. Its pretty brutal and out of control. I really don't like Magnum. Its a painful ride.

Silver Star and Raging Bull? Fun rides and smooth too! I love the ending of Silver Star. Both of course, have the cool B&M trains.

From what i've been on, i'd say they're equal. Intamin is the best at these coasters.

I've never been on an out-'n-back beemer, just Raging Bull. That was a great ride, probably tied with Maggie for me as far as how "good" they are, but for vastly different reasons.

Neither of them come close to my homepark's (SFDL's) S:ROS. Maggie has more moments of ejector air-time, but SFDL makes up for that with more turns, a smoother ride, and more floater air.

I love Maggie for its intense woodie feel. Those triangular bunnies are wicked awesome. Maybe it's a sentimental thing, but I still love it.

SFNE Supes is a whole nother story. :)

That's one high speed ride all the way - that thing is....

Magnum really wouldn't be so bad if the restraints didn't weight like 20 lbs. Or maybe even if their "natural position" was up like every other coaster in the world.

Fix the restraints, fix the ride.

Welcome back, red train, how was your ride?!
I love them both, just like I love both woodies and steel coasters.

If you want a comfortable ride on Magnum just keep your seat belt tight enought that you don't slam into the lap bar.

Loose belt = pain.

Slightly snug belt = :)

I prefer the B&M's - they stand up to the test of time better. The PM Big One in Blackpool is rough as hell these days, although i understand this is a wheel problem rather than track problem in this case and i did hear a rumour the wheel system of the cars were being replaced over the winter - anyone know?

From what I can remember, PM Big One didn't feature that much airtime. And, what airtime there was didn't seem nearly as intense as on Magnum - it's hard to believe they were both made by the same firm.
PM was made, like all other attractions at Blackpool, to fit around the existing space. They definitely could have done more with it, especially considering the pleasure beach's talent for using all available space, and quite often just tunnelling/bridging if they need to use air space from another ride!

For those that don't know much about blackpool, they have among the smallest sites on which to work, yet cram in almost a dozen coasters, water rides, dark rides, and dozens of smaller attractions, plus sideshows etc.

B&M definitely.

I survived a Japanese typhoon and the Togo flat ride of death!!!!!!
Haven't heard anything about Wild Thing yet. I loved Wild Thing when I rode a couple years ago. Good airtime on the first hill and well, thats about it. The bunny hops are trimmed down entirely to much. I rode Raging Bull this past summer and loved it. The air on the first drop in the backseat was amazing. The second hill was alright. The hill after the MCBR was surprisingly good as well. I'll take B&M. Smooth ride, good air and of course.. just plain fun. :)

i'm not sure what to put here..

I found Raging Bull to be too trimmed. The trim on the 3rd hill killed it for me.
I've only riddent PMBO but it was a terrible terrible ride. No air time and a bad layout. THe first drops pretty cool but other than that. On that experience (which aint very big) i say anything has to be better :P
Magnum is the most overrated coaster in the world. Desperado is horrible. PMBO does nothing of note after the first drop. I haven't ridden the one in Japan.

All B&Ms are either good or very good.

There's an Intamin in New England which is better than any of them.

Go figure :)
