Another new Rocket for 2006...

Oops, you're absolutely right about Turbine and the Disney parks.

And I should know better too, given I was on all the mentioned rides in the last three months. Brain blue-screened...

Nevertheless, Revolution is the only launched coaster in the UK. I know I'm right about that :)

Either 2006 is going to be a bad year for Rollercoaster maintaenance, or Intamin learns from their mistakes.

Kyle Says: Diamondback was a lot of fun! Made his first time at Kings Island worth it all!

It will only have the most elegant tophat untill Intamin realizes that their minimal support system doesn't work and builds the rest of the supports a couple of years later.

Down is the new up.

I would have expected more from Thorpe than just launch/ top hat/ bunny hill. I wonder when we will see a full layout of one of these smaller launchers do something along the lines of an Intamin hyper...but launched.
Ah yes, the classic AOL!!1one1 joke. Ha ha etc.

Thorpe Park seem quite bad with ride reliability to be honest, so I wonder just how bad this new ride will be, even if Intamin do sort out their issues with this genre of ride.

213 feet tall so it's a decient sized rocket. Not a record breaker but not a small ride either.

The site said it was the highest in Europe. Silver Star beats that. Good old marketing. Perhaps they meant Europe's tallest "rocket". ;)

Ok, I'm retarded. Should have read down further before posting. ;)

I like the air hill though. I wish Knott's had one. I still like it though. *** Edited 11/29/2004 9:24:48 PM UTC by janfrederick***

I like the colors, it's just too bad the ride doesn't resemble the new one in Australia a little more.

EDIT: i didn't realise there was a first page to this and i thought the post above me was the first post. *** Edited 9/22/2005 12:46:36 AM UTC by j_o_e_y__***
I don't think this coaster will be all that unreliable, if Xcelerator now (with the prototype bugs worked out) is any indication.
Has it been said yet how many and how long the trains will be? I'm just wondering about the capacity of this thing.

Should be a good thing for the park. I thought Thorpe was awesome, but a bit on the small side.

While I'm not really sold on the "little Kingda Ka" design, a rocket coaster will certainly help to disperse the crowds in the park. And since its not 400+ feet tall, it may even work. ;)

The peak of the Top Hat has been bolted together, and the whole thing will be lifted up today. One of the nicest looking Rockets?

So, no 270ยบ drop?
the sexiest top hat of them all. Love the supports.

This coaster really has gone up quickly, those german guys from RCS really must want to get home in a hurry.

This will be a great addition to Thorpe, just a shame there are not a few more elements.

Like said above.. I love the supports. The bunny hop look like wonderfull air-time to me. :)

i'm not sure what to put here..
