Amusement Park Advertisements with Roller Coasters Not Actually in Advertised Park

Other than Gonch saying at some point to 'show proof or GTFO', I'm the only person that I see that said if someone doesn't like how things are here and are unhappy that nobody is keeping them here. That was in response to what Ensign Smith said, and you replied to me. Then You said:

Who was that in response to? What post?

I'll reiterate: If you want to discuss, argue, post, okay. But for the people that seem to get annoyed more often than not, don't post. Or don't post as often.

Two of the above were generic statements to anyone who may be unhappy or not having fun and the first was specifically in response to me. That's why I referenced both in my statement.

The point is simply, when challenged by someone regardless of whether their motive is unhappiness or lack of fun, rather than just dismissing them with a statement about leaving, it would be better to listen and discuss the points.

People were listening and discussing. You took issue with something that I said that was a kneejerk reaction to Ensign Smith whom I misunderstood, got annoyed (and defensive), and I got defensive back.

I took Ensigns post as a complaint and statement that came across as someone whining. It wasn't meant that way. You took offense at my reply to him. Had that been actual whining, my sentiment still stands.

I have no problem with 'letting it go', but I kind of find it funny that you (in your own words) got annoyed at something I said to someone else after misunderstanding them and now I should 'let it go'.

But whatever. It's done.

Ok. If you want to say things to people that you only want them to read, digest and respond to, then please send them a private message. If you put it in the forum, folks may think you are addressing things they've said, as well. It's a group discussion. Especially when you refer to the "we're unhappy, but we're staying put crowd" which suggests it includes anyone who is unhappy and still posting here.

More seriously, I didn't mean to sow confusion or discord in the discussion. My "truthy" post was glib but accurate to my feelings, though without a lot of energy behind it. Truth in amusement park advertising is waaaaaay down the Grand List of Important Problems in the Universe.

Crap! Carrie, I would never intentionally hurt your feelings. I think highly of you. I'd write a whole book about my rules to living a happy life if someone would actually read it, and part of that book would be about considering to drop the people from your life who give you too much distress. I hope there are no hard feelings. I think the world of you. I'm sorry.

As far as the votes go, I don't only vote up the posts that I find funny. I also vote up the posts that say what I would say, or that I just plain like. I am a vote up abuser to a fault. I just click and click.
