A return of the OTSR's?

I think my post was unclear about what I meant, and I apologize. I meant that I thought that the restraints had some kind of electronic check like the B&Ms do that would stop a dispatch if a restraint was too far out.

Perhaps a thicker pad (like on Nitro) that would also help to press down on the thighs could help and keep that free feeling of the open cars there while still keeping things safer.

It depends on your specific body habitus (proportions).

Absolutely true. I've seen people taller than me have no problem in Premier coaster cars because their legs are probably shorter than mine. I've seen people shorter (but rounder) than me not be able to squeeze into B&M cars, with or without the "Big Boy" seats.

That said, I do not have extraordinarily long legs, a big stomach or broad shoulders, and there are coaster restraints that very much disagree with my body. All I'm saying is that there must be a way for restraints to be designed to accomdate a larger variety of body sizes without compromising the safety of any riders.

And Batwing Fan: No offense taken... but keep in mind, if you ever make a mistake like I did in reference to the Simpsons, you are going to hear it from me ;)

I think that I need to clarify my post from the last page. If you think that I was saying that rides should accomodate everyone, you misunderstood me. I am overweight (okay obese) and I understand if a ride is unable to accomodate me. I just go and ride something else instead. However, I do expect that, if I am allowed on the ride and the ride is started I am safely secured and will make it back to the station. These Intamin accidents have happened with people who were allowed to ride the rides by the employees. To say that all of these accidents were caused by employee error seems far fetched. If they are, why is it that all of the bad employees are assigned to Intamin rides and none of them are assigned to Arrow or B&M rides? There is obviously a problem with the restraint system that makes it hard to tell if people will be safe or not. That is what scares me.

As far as saying that Arrow mine trains can't be compared to Superman, remember that Arrow hyper coasters use these same types of restraints and I believe that that Morgan hyper cars are also similar. I don't know of anyone flying out of these rides.
