A look at maverick's new trains.

Gemini rolled back on media day I believe (or maybe it was opening day).

Dragster and Wicked have had their fair share of problems, but I rode both rides on their public opening days.

Not that it's a big deal, but is anything else going to be added to the launch tunnel?

It would seem a bit weird to build these beautiful canyons for the ride to zoom through and then have the launch tunnel be....industrial looking siding.

I think they are going to add some kind of lighting effect to the tunnel. The outside of the tunnel will be hidden by trees and bushes once they start to bloom.

Even with a lighting effect inside of the tunnel, I still think it will be dark enough to not see the sides of the tunnel.

I just hope the ride is not delayed like the rumor has it to be.(again, I dont look much into rumors, but I have heard this rumor from a few places).

CP's blog says the rumor is false and they are still on target to open May 12th.

Welcome back, red train, how was your ride?!

This is great news. Now I dont have to switch around my trip.

Nice update.

It looks like there will be a single rider line after all.

Which pic are you getting that from? If you're referring to the divided stair pic, I would think that one side is for the front train, and the other is for the back train, since they'll be loading two at once.

That is the picture I am refering to.

It could be a front or back of train divider, but I had also heard about the single rider line as well.

I have too. Hope it happens.
Heck, maybe that's what they'll use the empty Fast Lanes for. When I was at IoA about 6 years ago, my friend and my self used the singles line to ride Hulk five times in a row.

I think single rider lines are great, but I think it would be an easy thing to abuse as well.

SR lines work fine...as long as the attendant NEVER allows people to "ride together". Almost choked last time we got in line for Mummy (with NO standby line), and people in the SR line wanted to ride together...

If it were me, I'd have made them walk through the entire queue again... :)

In single rider lines, whats to stop a group of people getting in line together?

Nothing, except they wouldn't necessarily ride together. A Ride Op uses the people in the SRL to fill the empty seats. Which IMO is why a Single ride line is more suited for rides like Raptor or Mantis. It seams to me that when you have 4 seats accross you have more empty seats then when you have 2 seats accross.

Am I missing something or are single rider lines redundant on 2-wide seating?

I understand it on the beemers.. you have a group of 3, so toss one in from the SR line. With 2 across, you'll either have groups of 2... or people in the single rider line?

...Or am I just missing something for some reason?

^ Yeah, you're missing something...groups of three, or five, nine, etc... ;)

Even with two across seating, the SR lines seem to move pretty briskly...

Jason was CLOSE....but I'd have gone further than "wouldn't necessarily ride together". They entered the SINGLE-RIDER line. As an advocate and frequent user, I have entered that line with friends. Every so often, we even get "paired up" by happy coincidence. We do NOT, EVER, ask to ride together...that's forbidden in my book, and cause for ejection from the queue in my park...LOL!

They are probably testing soon as they shut down their web cams for a couple of weeks.

Who said a couple weeks. The site says to "check back later."

The web cam was also off during the pull-through, so Ajrides may be on to something.
