Aw man, can't we just let that go and call it temporary insanity caused by illness and insomnia? *shudder*

Ergo, Gonch is are babies.
I think this was the source of "Carrie hates babies." (I'm going to try to forgive you for linking to that horrible bedbugs thread. blech!) ;-)

I read through this entire thread and wanted to say a few words on Mike's behalf. I've met up with Mike on several occasions over the last few years and wanted to give a first hand account.
I first met Mike when he was at Kings Island a few years ago. It was only for a couple of hours as he was on his way elsewhere, but I enjoyed the time that I spent with him, particularly while riding Diamondback. I remember mentioning that I was heading to several Six Flags parks, and he said that he had some Six Flags coupons that might be of some value. We walked out to his car, he grabbed the coupons I wanted and handed them to me. We told each other we'd keep in touch and that we'd get together again.
The last two times we've seen each other were at Great Adventure on Columbus Day in 2011 and the Saturday of Columbus Day weekend last year. We had fun runs on the coasters in the time that we spent and I still enjoyed spending time with him. The conversation was good, not focused exclusively on coasters, and he has a sharp sense of humor that made the time pass by quickly. He spent time patiently waiting for me at 3 Point Challenge during both visits there which is always appreciated.
Everyone's experience with people (much like with amusement parks) is different, but I didn't want anyone to get the wrong impression of Mike without hearing things from both sides. Mike is a really nice guy and deserves better than to be known and remembered for some of the things mentioned in this thread.
No. He's a horrible person who stands people up and fights with ride ops.
At least he doesn't hate babies.
The only standing up I regularly do that involves amusement parks is riding Green Lantern. In the FRONT.
And I LOVE babies..especially with fries.
The amusement park rises bold and stark..kids are huddled on the beach in a mist

Also Bobbie, that was a tad bit harsh. I thought it was rude that you post something personal like that on a public forum. I think you should have kept it to yourself or settled it out with Mike. I know I have no authority whatsoever to point this out to you, but posting about how Mike wouldn't pick up his phone or how he didn't know ow to text, that was just mean IMO.
I am in complete agreement with you. It was inappropriate for me to post this on a public forum and I should have found another way to deal with it. My feelings were hurt and when that happens I tend to lash out, which is obviously not the best way to respond.
I am not a mean person by nature. On the contrary, I go out of my way to be kind, sometimes to my own detriment. Yesterday at a stoplight I was approached by a young man walking with a cane, apparently with great difficulty. I thought that he might even be blind and needed assistance so when he held out his hand I took it and guided him across the street. On the next block he grabbed me around the waist and tried to kiss me. Fortunately, the guy who runs our mailroom at work was heading in our direction and able to extricate me from my assailant.
Been having a rough time with health and other issues and am upset because I can't go to Texas next week for the Iron Rattler media event to which I was invited but that's no excuse to air whatever issues I may have with Mike on a public forum. (I guess my trip with him and his friends to Hersheypark is off.) My apologies to everyone.
Bobbie
