What hotel are most people staying at for BeastBuzz? Any recommendations?
Quality Inn about three miles from the park.
Certain victory.
The backlot walkaround is where they take you behind the scenes like they did last year when the group walked around SOB and others.

I could be totally wrong here, but what I gathered from the flyer & PKI email was The Beast Walkback was them walking you from the entrance of PKI to the entrance of The Beast for the first rides of the day, beating any crowds.
That is correct, although it seems as you are implying that they hold you there until the park opens. If that is the case, that's not what happens. Once you get to the Beast, you can get on. Kinda like a small ERT session.
Unless they change the Walk Back procedure for BeastBuzz day, in the past they have escorted the group to the head of the Beast line and then you wait until the ride opens at 10. Since you are already at the ride, chances are you get one train for the group before the general public catches up.
Done the walkback many times, it has always been merely a courtesy of planting you in the line so you get to ride first, never an ERT-like session.
Speaking of BeastBuzz, did anyone else notice the article on it in the latest PKI Gold Pass Newsletter? I wonder what sort of effect this will have on the size of the group. (And therefore manageability for the behind the scenes tours and ERT session)

In terms of numbers, so far we have around 80 pre-registrations. I would prefer that anyone planning to go registers now and sends in the form and money. The higher on-site price is not to make the club rich, but to encourage pre-registration so the catering folks have an accurate count. They assure me that they can handle whatever crowd shows up, but since they're bending over backward with stuff to do, I want to make it as easy for them as possible.
This will be one of the best events you ever attend. That I can assure you!

Last year we stayed at the Comfort Inn right
next to the park and the rooms were excellent, but
we couldn't find a good rate this year.
If you don't mind a drive, the Holiday Inn on 275 North
is very nice, and you usually can find a good rate on Travelocity,
or through the Holiday Inn website.
I have always wanted to try the Kings Island Conference Center,
but the reviews are always horrible on Travelocity, etc.
Keep checking the internet for cheap rates, it may take you a couple of tries.
