Long live the Big Bad Wolf
Besides my horrible experience at Six Flags Great Adventure this year (see the link below), Six Flags Darien Lake, Six Flags New England, Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom, and Great Escape were absolutely amazing. Boomerang was the only thing major closed at SFDL and Alpine Coaster at Great Esacpe. All were really impressive and the ride ops were really on the ball at all four parks. Everything seemed really clean and SFNE may have knocked itself up into one of my fave parks. You'll still want to read the Great Adventure thing near the middle of my TR. Ouch!

I'm happy for them and the increases in attendance this year. I don't believe any of their parks increased in 2004, so this is good news and hopefully a trend if they keep the service up.

If you'd like them back I think I found about 20 of them. ;)
Moosh-my aspiration.
...or not...
So why did I just waste 15min of my life reading it?

You could say one of the SFNE additions next year is twisted
Not to wildly speculate and rumor monger...well, okay. To wildly speculate and rumor monger, an Intamin impulse is just what SFNE needs (given that it's going to build a thrill ride). It's a launch which the park doesn't have and it's totally unique to that part of the country. It's capacity isn't that great, but they seem to sell q-bots like they're candy and back lines up anyway, so it's probably not a concern.

Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."

Obviously, the filing is self-serving. They do make some valid points and rebuttals, but they also fail to acknowledge any sort of flaws in their business model. Everything is something else's fault... 9/11, weather, etc. Don't take a dump in my lawn and tell me it's fertilizer.
This kind of thing just makes me shrug my shoulders. Does it even matter what happens? If Six Flags doesn't get sold, the chain will have to drastically change over the next 10 years to right the ship. If they are sold, the chain will drastically change over the next 10 years. As long as they want to cater to thrill-seeking, disposable-income-spewing teenagers, they won't be what their competition is... and right now, their competition is WAY healthier.
Schwarzkopf shuttle loops...The most possible fun in 36 seconds.

Rumor mill says SFNE may end up with Zonga, lucky you guys. *** Edited 10/20/2005 12:31:55 AM UTC by New Bay***
