One word: NO
haha....i had to make light of TopThrillDragster420's signature.....

first of all....yes Wicked Twister is different than many other impulses, you were right there....but there are some other different ones...i.e. Linear Gale, V2 @ SFMW....

and Kingda Ka isnt exactly a COPY of TTD....lets see....its taller, has a faster acceleration ratio, has different trains/restraints, has a different station style, and last but not least...has a bunnyhop:)

Tim....who loves to rip on CP fans just for giggles, no harm :)

still trying to think of a good signature...

Well, lets see, Wicked Twister was announced on November 20th, 2001 and Top Thrill Dragster was announced January 9th, 2003...so I'd say you should look for an announcement somewhere between now and two months from now....sorry, that's not much of a help, but if I had to guess, I'd assume it will be sooner than later. Maybe within the next two or three weeks. I mean, Geauga Lake, Dorney, and Knotts have already announced 2005 plans (though Knotts is more of a 2004 plan as it will open this year and Dorney's will be almost finished by the end of the year), and I'm pretty sure either WoF or VF has announced some sort of camping expansion or something.

So to make a long story short...what are they getting? no one knows, all speculation and guesses as of now...when will it be announced? PROBABLY within the next two months.

If you can't stand the heights, get out of the line.

Besides, its not like its "The announcement we've all been waiting for" or anything, that was Geauga Lake.

Well, I'm excited about it, but I'm not hard to please:).

I'm going to say sometime in December. ;)

I would have thought we woulda heard someone mentioning construction of some sort. Someone usually catches stuff like that. Has anyone seen or heard of construction of any sort? I'd think they would have started construction already if somethin new was going in.
There's only construction in the fall if there's something major going in like, oh, the footers for a 400 foot tall tower that take months for the concrete to cure.

Well...i guess you're right there. So who knows, there could still be another great coaster goin in. I myself get a little impatient at times hopin for an announcement because my trip there is already scheduled for 2005!
Apparently by the end of the year there were a lot of spray painted dots in and around the Wicked Twister area of the park...but no demolition or anything...

If you can't stand the heights, get out of the line.

This article says an annoucement is planned by the end of the year.

Sorry Coaster Lover, that was just the hallucinations from the mind-control chemicals designed to make enthusiasts impatient and impossibly devoted to Cedar Point/Fair. Cedar Point apologizes for any inconvenience.

LOL, Impulse-ive...ya, that, or just a terrible accident at the nearby Dip-n-Dots...

If you can't stand the heights, get out of the line.

My guess: Riptide floorless Top Spin.
Well, I can already tell it's going to suxors, it has the same NAME! They'll probably even paint it the same colors ...

I will never visit a Cedar Fair park again.

--Brett, feeling reliable today ...

We'll never know untill they announce it ;)
New major ride every 2 years. No evidence of construction my guess is it will probably be a flat but what do I know? When was PT announced? or more to the point when was construction first spotted?
