$12mil. could get what size B&M ?

What size coaster could you get from B&M  for $12mil.

how much track length  ?

probably something the size of batman the ride
I believe Raging Bull was 12 million-15 million, but that may not be true.

B&M+SFGAm=3 excellent coasters.

I figured maybe aleast more than that. The Raptor was $11,500,000 and it is pretty big.
Raptor was built a while ago.  Now it would coast atleast $15,000,000.  As for 12mil I think you could get something along the lines of Talon or maybe a bit smaller.

Georgia Scorcher would fit the bill. And might I add the only B&M I would build!

Check out Apollo's Chariot, Nitro and Raging Bull on http://www.bolliger-mabillard.com/ It says 12 million for Nitro and RB, and AC. Don't know how accurate that is, but from the looks, you could get a decent sized coaster.

Titan Fan, hope you don't mind my answering this for you.
If you would have read another threads, he sated how he plans on building a park in Texas. Be is simply trying to find out good rides and getting overall some great ideas for his park. Be glad he's asking for a B&M rather that a Vekoma SLC.

hey here you go, build the first B&M vetical drop in the United States. Oblivion cost 7 million. So now a days probably around 10 million and extra for longer layout. So build that if you wanted too, so we all can ride one of these.

Mantis at Cedar Point costed the park $12 million when it was constructed in 95'-96'. SFMM's The Riddler's Revenge forced the park to cough up $14 million alone on the ride when it was in construction in 1997 before it opened in 98'. But RRv IS longer than Mantis by 400+ FT of track and larger in every other aspect. I remember hearing Dorney Park paying a $9 million dollar bill for this year's Talon. A coaster with a size approximate to Batman:The Ride, Vortex, Iron Wolf, and The Georgia Scorcher would need an amount near $6-$7 million.

Pardon my skepticism, but this sounds flaky

If you're seriously interested in building a real theme park, wouldn't you talk with the real coaster manufacturers and compare offers? Wouldn't you also provide landscaping details so that the coaster would maximize the use of the land?

But what would I know? :)

I followed a link in a thread about the AIR coaster, and it said that ride was 12 million British(it may have been 14?), so 12 million would get you alot from B&M. Anyways, I would think that after they build and have new innovations, the price could come down, like on stand-ups. If Mantis was that much then, they may be able to do it cheaper now.
Raptor was exactly 12 mil.  but then it was a new idea and it was very demanded.  So, i am not sure.  I think it would depend on type and what park.  Because of space, and size.  I think when you are looking into a coaster and you say B&M there is 12 mil already.  I would think probably a Talon, or Wildfire, or maybe even a Mantis, probably more though.

Check out www.bolliger-mabillard.com, he's got some somewhat accurate prices.  It's not down to the penny, but it's an average.  But then you have to consider inflation, and whatever.  But 12 million, that could get you probably a Nemesis, B:TR, ONE Dueling Dragon, Kumba, maybe 2 Vortex's, a Talon, probably a Kraken, or the SFNE B&M coaster.  There are probably more that I left out.

http://www.bolliger-mabillard.com" target=_blank>www.bolliger-mabillard.com , it estimates that NITRO cost $12 Million, which is factually false.  SFGAdv. said when they announced NITRO that is was the single most expensive addition to the park.  Consider the fact that Medusa cost $15,000,000 in 1999.  So we know that NITRO is greater than $15 Million dollars in cost and considering that it is about 90 ft taller and 1000+ feet longer than Medusa, I'd say that it cost closer to $20 Million.

TitanFan13, build a hyper and people will come because the hypers are scarce in Texas (only Titan and Steel Eel, which isn't a true hyper). Or you need to contact B&M and look for simething they have to offer that no other park has in Texas.
I"m a little skeptical of the prices of B&M coasters on www.bolliger-mabillard.com.  I agree that, since Medusa cost around $15 million, Nitro probably cost at least $20 million, maybe more.  Because Apollo's Chariot and Raging Bull are the same type of ride as Nitro (and not much smaller in size), they probably cost around $20 million too.  If a coaster like Nitro cost so little, you wouldn't see any parks building anything but B&M coasters!

Also something to consider, a "small" B&M like Dorney's Talon cost about $14 million, so $12 million would probably buy nothing more than a Batman The Ride or Georgia Scorcher.

Nitro cost $22 million for the park.  Nitro is the longest and most expensive rollercoaster ever built at a Six Flags park.

For $12 million, I would say a mid-size invert or stand-up....or perhaps a WildFire type ride.
