100 coasters

I just started riding early last year and I am already getting 100 next month. My goal is to ride 50 new coasters a year. How long does it usually take you do ride 50 coasters. And could you tell me if you have hit 100 yet. Mines going to be Hypersonic XLC.

50 new ones a year is rough. You begin to run out of coasters that are easy to reach.

I am at 74 now and shoudl have around 84 by season's end. Unless I go someplace unexpected.

100 a few weeks ago. (Raging bull on 6/28).

I spent a LOT of the last two years traveling and 50 a year is not hard the first year, but it becomes increasingly difficult each year. This year (my third year of serious coaster based travel) I'll be lucky to get 30 new coasters and that's with 5 new parks.

A rollercoaster? What's that?

I hit #100(superman:ultimate flight) and #101(deja vu[sfog]) early june and this is my third year of coastering. And im only 13.

At the end of this coaster season I will have just passed 100. Right now I'm at 50 so thanks to very supporting parents who love vacations I will get over 50 new coasters in this year.

Dang, I've been riding for 11 years and have a pitiful 32 under my belt (will increase when I go to PCW on the 16) I say go for it, if you want to do 50 a year go ahead, but I guarantee if you find one that you REALLY like your going to turn down a new one to go back and ride that one.

I rode my first coaster when I was 6 and hated it. It wasn't until I was 21 or 22 that I started visiting parks regularly, but still locally and on a casual basis. In 2000 I started finding more and more enthusiast sites on the net and by the beginning of 2001 began consciously began trying to hit different parks and coasters.

I'm currently at 63 coasters and should have around 110 to 120 by the end of this season. That'll be about 70 new coasters in 2002. I'm hoping to repeat that again next year and push that total to around 200.

In March 99 I had 84 coasters, now I might break 300 next week. My secret is a job with traveling where I decide whether I want to stop at a park :)

The first hundred you get will not take as long as your second, mainly because you have already hit all the ones around you.
Prior to last year, I was only an occasional coaster rider. I started 2001 with 30 coasters to my count and finished with 87. I am now at 171 and will easily hit 200 this year also. It is fairly easy to hit a large number of new coasters when your count is low, provided you have the time to do so and lay out your travel plans in a way that you hit as many coasters as possible. I always search for cheap hotel rooms and have season passes to the major parks in order to keep costs to a minimum. I can probably reach 300 in another couple of years, but after that, new coasters to the count will be much slower to come by.

My count was 17 at the start of 2000. Went all out in 2000, took a break in 2001 and got sent over here to Europe this year. A few big trips and a half a world later, I am now nearing 300. Steel Phantom was my 100th and Silver Star was my 200th. . .

It has taken me 4 years to reach 80, but I probably won't get to 100 until early 2004.

Well, I need five more for 200 :) I'M thinking SFOG :)

Last year in may I was at 56

Chuck, who thinks Mindbender or Georgia Cyclone would be a great choice for 200
