$10 rooms at QualityInn.com for toledo during Coa

Woody, messin' with Toledo is too easy to do! :) Especially with that Finkbiner guy (is he still mayor?)

You're right about Wholly Joe's, Den...though if you blink, you might miss it up there in that retail and traffic nightmare. Seems to be doing OK though.

[edit: Page 2 on a thread about something in Toledo - who'dve thunk that could ever happen? :)]

Jim - I go to Joe's all the time - though I'm disappointed that they no longer ship in Mountain Dew in glass bottles from Chicago. There always seems to be quite a few people there, though.

The Pickle place is the ONLY thing in St. Joe ;)

It makes Elysburg, Pa look like a metropolis.

I love my home area! 11 Miles from Indiana, 5 from Ohio.

MagnumForce -

You're telling me. I have to spend a weekend there every year for a family reunion. Absolutely nothing for miles.

btw, I have friends who own a pizza shop in Pioneer, Ohio - just down the road from your home.

Really Den? I have ate there many times. I am only about 10 miles from Pioneer. If I need a Gallon of Milk thats where I go. I like living in the middle of nowhere LOL.

Yep - the daughter of the folks who own The Pizza Barn was my wife's roommate and best friend in college.

I also grew up in the middle of nowhere. Forty-five minute drive to the nearest mall, arcade, etc. (but only 25 minutes to PKI, go figure).

Cmon Brent, whats so scary about the eastside after dark lol? I guess it doesn't seem like a vewry big deal as thats where I spent a majority of my childhood. I live out in Millbury now, but I'm in the city every weekend. Toledo's a great town, theres a lot of great things to do people aren't even aware of.

BTW Finkbeiner is gone but we still get to hear him on TV spouting off all the time. Sad thing is he likely would have been reelected if not for term limits.

hhhJoey, its not your part of the east side I am worried about, its the area south of the High Level Bridge along the river.

"All good things must come to an end!" That's too bad he's not mayor anymore. He did make things interesting up there. In the medical reference book under "foot-in-mouth disease" it has his picture! :)

(For those of you who may not know, he once proposed moving deaf people to the neighborhoods around the airport to eliminate complaints about the noise)
