What you refer to as a car, is generally called a row on a B&M or other invert. Why have some less or more rows than others is a mystery to me. ------------------ If you have a problem with clones, the solution is real simple—Stop traveling.
Any difference in train length will change the speed of the ride, even slightly. If the ride was not re-engineered to account for this (as I doubt they were) then yes, there will be a small difference between the back row on your normal B:TR and the back row on LeVampire.
For bonus points, what was or is the coaster that had a train with one row fewer than the other(s)? I can't remember which it was, but I'm pretty sure it was a B&M. I remember reading it in Roller Coasters of America by Todd Throgmorton (sp?) way back in the day.
a) front and back row are closer to center of mass (which is part of why Intamin hypers have much more air than B&M's)
b) less resistance to friction (slower speed towards the end of the ride)
c) less capacity (duh)
d) less weight to support (also duh) ------------------ Be polite and ignore the idiots. - rollergator "It's not a Toomer" - Arnold Schwartzenkoph "Those who know don't talk and those who talk don't know." -Jeff
I've ridden several B:TR clones and Le Vampire in the back and there really isn't a noticable difference in intensity. I'm sure if you measured forces you'd see a slight difference, but it's not something you're really going to notice. The only logical reasoning behind seven rows instead of eight is saving money. La Ronde clearly doesn't care about capacity since they only run one train on Le Vampire anyway.
Ugh. Vater, what you see here is DorneyDante (I think) asking a question only to delete his post after having it answered. Smooth move dude, now MagnumForce and myself look like complete idiots that are posting to the breeze. ;)

Sorry guys, I deleted my post because only after I posted my question did I realize the answer. You guys must have responded like the next minute I posted my question. I deleted my post before I even read your guys posts. I fend for Marimbaguy and Vater, they really aren't crazy and talking to thin air..........
