So .... this obviously going to use the top hat ?

They aren't going to tear down a record breaking launch coaster to build a record breaking launch coaster ?

Nothing to see here. Move along.

Maybe they're going for a different type of record breaking...launching the train through a bunch of vinyl LPs?

Apparently the ride will be fully removed and not reimagined. A "completely new" coaster will take its place.

There are definitely a lot of broken records.

Yeah, but I think they're talking about the coaster, not CoasterBuzz members.

Not to split hairs, but that statement does not say the existing ride is being removed.

It definitely does not. I mean, you can have a "completely new" experience on the bones of an old ride. As usual, people lean too much into words.

Kingda aka isn’t dead. It’s pining for the fjords!

In Cedar Point’s announcement video for Top Thrill 2, they called it an “all new vertical speedway” despite the fact that much of the new ride was the same track.

It does not say "completely new experience," though, it says "completely new coaster." If this were in any way a legally binding document, I would argue that a "completely new coaster" that reuses a significant portion of the former ride is not, in fact, completely new.

That said: it's not a legally binding document, and I expect New Six Flags Worldwide to do whatever the hell they want and the NSFW marketing people to say whatever they want.

[It has been 0 days since our last semantic argument; semantic arguments > RRR; etc.]

This is just a mere postulation on my part, so take it for what its worth. Lets examine the amount of space Great Adventure is opening up by removing not just KK but Green Lantern, the Parachute rides and Skyways. Is it possible that Great Adventure is going to build a coaster that rivals Falcons Flight in the Middle East ? I mean literally something close to 650' tall and over 14000' in track length? Im not the expert some of you are, but to remove that many attractions and allocate that much space does bear ponderance, I think. And now I return to my sports websites and prospects for the World Series Champion Dodgers! <G>

No. What?

It's officially official.

Now we can riot. I believe there was talk somewhere around here about burning the place down. I would liketo be a part of that if someone's gonna organize.

I mean, I can bring drinks if someone else covers snacks for the drive to Jersey.

Ugh...I'm softly banging my head. Because metal health will certainly drive me mad.

That's how I riot.

Quietly.
