Son of Beast made my face turn green, just like the peeps in RCT. I always thought it was just silly cartoon exaggeration, but no; your face can actually turn green from nausea. Never rode it again.

I actually loved H:XLC except for the capacity and reliability.

The pain in my thighs lasted for two days after riding that.

I have 211 in my track record to date.

211 is Son of Beast, of course. I rode it once about a week after it opened and vowed never again. Then, because a few people here on CoastwrBuzz asked me to give it another chance after the loop was removed, I rode it again about a week before it closed for good. It was better, but I still found it too physically painful.

210 is Skyrush at Hersheypark. How can this torture device still be open? It seems like it was designed to try to break rider's femur bones. On top of that, the layout is uninspired, the station was wedged into a small area making causing a clusterf*** both on the midway and the ride platform, and the lift and first drop hovers over Comet, taking away from the park's classic look. Hate is usually not in my vocabulary, but I truly hate that coaster.

209 is Toboggan at Lakemont Park. Squeeze yourself into an enclosed, claustrophobia-inducing cage that tips straight up into a claustrophobia-inducing silo-like tunnel, only to come out the top and slowly circle around the silo over constant breaks until you reach the bottom where the track drops you down and up a small and tight five foot drop that tries to break your back. It's a terrible experience.

As shown on the list, I'd rather ride kiddie coasters, boomerangs, and SLC clones.

I can’t imagine it being better without the loop. That part was the only respite from the pain the rest of the ride inflicted.

I just ranked Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. I didn't really like it but there's no way that's an "average" coaster so I ranked it as a 4.

I guess you could say that, from the beginning, that ride was a... Lost Kause?

Yes, the loop was the only smooth, tolerable part of the ride. The idea was that they removed the loop because it would allow for lighter trains, and lighter trains would allow for a less violent ride. It was not as violent after they removed the loop, but still worse than Beast before this years retracking.

Come to think of it, has Premier ever successfully made trains for rides they didn't design? (To be fair, all their train designs are ****ty, but at least the ones on their own rides stay longer than a year.)

Edit: I thought we were allowed to swear here! I demand to speak to the manager!

Interesting. It's easily getting a 5 from me. I'm not sure exactly where it will fall relative to my top 10 or 25, but it's definitely a "must ride multiple times" for me.

I'm with you there. I think it's the best ride at WDW, without question. One of my favorite coasters period because it's just so different.

Interesting, in that these two statements prefectly encapsulate my impression of Time Traveler @ SDC. It's like the Yaw version of X/X2.

I will say the song dramatically changes the feel of the ride. We got Blondie 3x, Tears for Fears 1x, Disco Inferno 1x, and Flock of Seagulls 1x. Definitely best with Tears for Fears.

I love Time Traveler too, have it at a 5. It was different from anything else I've ridden, and it has just the right amount of spin without making you queasy.

Definitely best with Tears for Fears.

This, and not just because I'm a huge fan and it's the only one of the songs that my kid knows. (Their new album this year might be their best, for real.) I've had Gloria once and Seagulls four times. 🤮

I couldn't get through it. I'm by no means a superfan, but I own The Seeds of Love and Elemental and have listened to two of their other studio releases (and I used to cover Rule the World for years), and really dig them all. What I heard of The Tipping Point was so underwhelming I changed it about 4 or 5 songs in. I intended to give it another listen in a better environment (I listened while driving back from Pigeon Forge in August), but completely forgot. I'll try to do that soon.

Everything between Seeds of Love and this one don't really count, to me at least, because it was mostly Roland while Curt was doing whatever. Although they are going "Break It Down Again" live.

I was hooked on this one the third time through. "Rivers of Mercy" is one of those after-pandemic songs that I feel like I needed. And "My Demons" is especially fun live. I dunno, it's all subjective, and admittedly I'm heavily influenced by how good they are live.

I know Curt wasn't in the picture for years, but Elemental is one of my favorite TFF albums. I'll need to give the new one a few listens.
