Scary Stall on ValleyFair's Wild Thing!

O.K.
all of you may laugh, but when I was on the wild Thing, we were at about 175ft on the lift hill when we stalled. Usually I love to stall on a coaster, but because of the height and the 25mph wind, I was scared to death! Tell me about all of your stalls!

I also stalled on MONTU at Busch Gardens

When Wild Thing opened up in the first year the coaster kept getting stuck about half way up. The first year when I rode Wild Thing every time I got on it we stalled half way up. I dont get scared to much, but if we stalled on Millennium Force maybe a different story. I like heights. But even when I get stuck on Wild Thing I get the feeling we may start to roll backwards that's what get's me nervous. PS I work at Valleyfair 8yrs!

Yeah Wild Thing still gets stuck quite often. Every day I work I see it stall at least once. By now, I'm used to it, and I know its not a big deal, so I kind of feel lucky and enjoy getting stuck. The only scary part is when youre in the front and it gets stuck with the front car hanging over the drop (which is pretty rare.) *** This post was edited by Adam McNeil on 7/3/2001. ***

When I was on Montu once we stalled about half way up the lift, but it was because some stupid kid unbuckled his seatbelt.

I have stalled on SFWoA's Mr. Hyde's, Double Loop, Texas Twister, Superman, & Raging Wolf Bobs. I have also gotten stuck on BGT'S Skyride

Yo Mongoose, not that I don't believe you or anything(I do believe you...just for the record)You don't have Texas Twister in your track record.

I have gotten stuck on BBW @ BGW right before you enter the station. We were there for 25 min. That little waterfall that was under us made me wanna pee soo bad!:(

Gotten stuck on The Batman: The Ride at SFGAm. Sat on the lift for a little while, and off we went (off as in through the circut, not off the ride)

Oh, and Mongoose, did you know that Mr. Hyde had a bad accident once when it stalled? It couldn't happen again, though, because it has anti-roll backs now.

Hey Bruce Texas Twister is not a coaster but rather a Huss Gravitron. Actually the first in the midwest. I love that ride and also have gotten stuck on it.

Volcano rollbacks are fun. Makes S:UE look pansie.

I got stuck on Steel Force at dorney park which is another morgan creation like wild thing. we were about 140 feet up the lift when it stopped and we sat for about 10 mins. i aslo got stuck on hercules at dorney right before the turn before the lift and we sat for about 2 hours which really pissed me off.

This has nothing to do with the topic whatsoever, but I have to say it. Bruce, your signature made me keel over laughing. It's the best one I've seen yet.

I got stuck on the Iron Wolf at Great America for about 45 minutes. Getting stuck on a standup has to be the absolute worst because of those uncomfortable restraints.

I got stuck on Raptor. I was screaming and laughing it was awesome. This lady behind me said "Stop laughing it isn't funny!" It was funny. Some lady had a fannypack on and it undid the seatbelt going up the lift. We were only about 50 feet off the ground.

If the Morgans stall often, I wonder if steel dragon 2000 stalls alot too. That would be freaky.

Last year the Mad mouse coaster @ MI Adventure stalled all the time...I have gotten stuck on it 3 times, once they had to come and undo our lapbars so we could get off.

The closest I've ever gotten to getting stuck on a coaster is being first in line (in the station) on MF. Me and my brother had to wait for first row for an extra 1 hour! Some guy on MF put his hat on and it fell off and jammed a wheel at the end of the ride.

I got stuck on Hurler(lift)Also a Volcano roll back(not upside down thank god) I have seen Volcano get stuck upside down geez I would hate to be on that train.

I was on a stall once on the Beast at PKI. We were in the first train (me and a buddy) and we were about to crest when it just stopped. We were there for 10 minutes, but the freaky part was when the wind blew (i know this is natural, but it freak me out anyway), any small breeze made the entire lift shake. One gust had to reach 25 MPH, and the hill felt like it was tipping over! Great view but a freaky stall. What a day to ride it.
