Adventureland in Altoona, Iowa, has opened its new Gerstlauer roller coaster, featuring a 101-degree first drop and a fantastic lighting package.
See photos in the CoasterBuzz database.
Tom, that lighting turns an otherwise ordinary roller coaster into something great. I'd love to see lighting like this on more coasters. It should be standard on at least one coaster at every park. It enhances the look of the ride so much.
I envision what the amusement park of the future looks like, and lighting like this plays a big part in my daydream.

The last time I was this impressed with the "ancillary features" of a ride, I remember doing enough research to locate "Suzanne Sessions, Inc." from their work...on Alpengeist. Hope to see more of KCL's work in the near future...kudos!
