That might be the coolest lighting on any coaster ever.

I was a big fan of the reverse tracers on OzCat - this blows that *completely* out of the water...

This is a great ride system, there's a lot more mileage in it for Gerstlauer over the next few years.

Nothing to see here. Move along.

I'm with KCL Engineering and worked on the lighting design for this. Thanks for the great comment!

Tom, that lighting turns an otherwise ordinary roller coaster into something great. I'd love to see lighting like this on more coasters. It should be standard on at least one coaster at every park. It enhances the look of the ride so much.

I envision what the amusement park of the future looks like, and lighting like this plays a big part in my daydream.

I don't think I have ever observed lights that actually follow a train like that. Is that a first? Simply stunning.

If I ever find myself in Iowa at night....

The last time I was this impressed with the "ancillary features" of a ride, I remember doing enough research to locate "Suzanne Sessions, Inc." from their work...on Alpengeist. Hope to see more of KCL's work in the near future...kudos!

Definitely a nice lighting package. That's what I call not skimping on the pate.

But the capacity sucks.
