Ok, this thread is to be bereft of overt criticism complaining that it isn't a coaster.
Instead I'd like to focus on positive details. First off....manufacturer. Since I do not know myself, can someone fill me in on who designed and built both IOA's Spiderman and Disney's Indy Jones sims? Also do their web sites mention anything in their respective news sections? Since the press release is pretty vague, I'm assuming a lot of details are still being ironed out.
Secondly...3D or not 3D? I'd almost prefer a 3D experience in simulation to that of 2D animatronics, but frankly, if the 2D is great, who cares. My hope is that it doesn't turn out to look as plastic and cartoonish as Phantom Theater, since that would be the only reason for me to dislike it. If they go grand scale, like IOA or Disney, I'll be mighty impressed, but if they go small scale effects and animatronics, I'll be more disappointed.
Third....Was there any mention of a price tag? We know about the 3 million for the building, but what about the ride itself? Any word?
Lastly....outward design. If a temple looking structure doesn't liven up a rather gloomy looking Rivertown right now, I don't know what will. While it doesn't necessarily fit the 'Rivertown' name, at least it isn't too much of a stretch. If the ride building was covered in greenery and hidden away from most peoples eyes, it might blend in very well. We'll see.
Let's try to keep this discussion positive in its direction and leave the negativity to another thread... :)
