By that standard, everything we talk about here is pointless. Don't be silly.

Good point, but this topic is still too petty to be considered about

Disk-os and super loops are my favorite coasters.

That's the thing about opinions, you can have yours and everyone else can have theirs. Obviously some people wish to discuss it.

Unless how much ice is in someone's cup at a Cedar Fair park affects how many children in Africa starve I don't see how that is a reason to not talk about something. Not that I'm personally worried about ice but some people are.

Unless, of course, we're discussing a park in Sandusky...

But, all you have to do to solve this problem is say, "Pardon me. Can I get mine with no ice please? Thank you, my good Sir."

I mean, don't scream in agony because the person making your drink put the standard amount of ice in your cup without asking. That's how it comes. No ice is a special request. It's up to you to ask for the special request.

When I go to Wendy's to get a burger, I know to make sure to tell them what I want on it. I say "No mayo" twice to make sure. It comes with mayo, but I don't want it, so I tell them.

It's not... rocket science.

If one gets genuinely upset that they put ice in your drink without asking, maybe they should look into some medication or therapy. Something like that shouldn't ruin your day. You should be grateful that you even got a Coke today.

My payday isn't until day after tomorrow. I don't have any money and I ran out of Coke. I have to drink water for the next few days. I'm all achy and feel like crap. You're lucky to even get to go to a park, yet alone have a Coke to drink.

You don't want mayo? What kind of horrible person are you? :-p

Seconding LK. Request what you want.

^ Africa is beyond my control and therefore there is no need for me to feel guilt over it. I volunteer time and resources to my local food pantry for starving kids in America so I have earned the privilege to complain about ice in my pop if I want to.

Expecting one thing and receiving another doesn't make anyone a jerk- it's what you do with that disappointment that speaks to the content of your character.

Coaster enthusiasts are impossible to please. Back when SFWoA ran out of ice throughout the park, we all complained about how crappy Six Flags is. Now we have a thread about Cedar Fair putting ice in their drinks... HOW DARE THEY?!?

But then again, what do I know?

You think this is bad, check out some of the Disney park fan sites. Turning California Adventure's Tower of Terror into a Guardians of the Galaxy attraction is practically the end of the world to some of those folks. All sorts of calls for petitions and Facebook protest pages and boycotts. (My favorite is still the fellow who is going to boycott Disneyland in protest and will only visit Hong Kong Disneyland and Shanghai Disneyland...)

Right now, you can't even get water at Cedar Point. And you need water to make ice.

For those who haven't heard, they had another water main break tonight.

Funny now that I think of it we were walking along the path that follows the beach behind Magnum and Soak City and there were employees dumping ice from one of the portable drink carts into the grass and my son was saying they should have dumped it into one of the pools instead of wasting the water in the ice and I told him they have plenty of water why would they worry about that ice it won't make a difference. The about half an hour later the toilet wasn't flushing properly and an hour later everything started closing. Ok so I was wrong about them having plenty of water...
