Did you read the sign in the picture? Goliath is being recognized for steepest drop on a wooden coaster.

Goliath was given three records for being the steepest, fastest, and tallest wood coaster: Chicago Tribune link.

According to the stats on RCDB, El Toro is taller, but Goliath has the bigger drop. Not that anyone really cares, as both are excellent rides. (Well, in 1990 Dorney cared enough about the record to sue over it, but I don't think Six Flags is going to sue itself.)
