Fury 325 Destroys All Giga Coaster!!

Regulus

I'll have to wait until August, 14, 2017 before I visit Carowinds (Along with Dollywood and Six Flags over Georgia) on August 11 and 12 respectably. I will spend the next few days in the Great Smoky Mountains before Spending the weekend with relatives in Georgia. On Monday, August 21 I'll travel with my Relatives to a site to be determined to view a Total Solar Eclipse! (I intend to STAY AWAY from any theme parks near the path of this eclipse simply because the parks will probably be PACKED (On the day before the last Solar Eclipse I saw (An Annular "Ring of Fire" Eclipse in Albuquerque, New Mexico on May 20, 2012) I found Cliff's Park was PACKED, I had to wait two hours in line to ride the New Mexico Rattler due to the large amount of visitors (Including Myself, who had descended upon this city) on the weekend leading up to the eclipse. Hopefully, Fury325 will become my 500th Roller Coaster!

PS I'll probably have to take along my Bicycle, in order to ride to my select destination along the centerline of this, Events such as this one bring in people from MILES around and the roads will probably be GRIDLOCKED along the path of totality!

How come when I do that kind of thing I'm a bully? Regulus was on topic and not in any way controversial.

Jeff said:

It "looks" forceless? What does that even mean? By the time you've recovered from the gray-out of the first drop and turn, you're almost to the rise for the big airtime hill.

I don't recollect ANY gray-outs or (major) airtime on Millie. Have you tried intimidator 305 at Kings Dominion. That's my definition of gray-outs and airtime.

Yeah, I did I305 the day it opened. What does that have to do with anything? I've been on Millennium Force probably hundreds of times by now. I'm not imagining it.

Ok, well I've only probably ridden it between 10-20 and I've always been disappointed. Funniest things was two people in row 2 going wild about the airtime, whilst we were in row one and barely left the seat. I'm not saying it's a bad coaster, just a bit overhyped and I could name 10 200+ coasters that I feel are better.

I've personally bever greeted out on MF. So far the only rides I've greyed out on we're i305, Goliath west, and once on invertigo at KI. The drop in Fury could almost do it though.

"bever greeted"? For coasters where graying out is totally subjective - we hereby bequeath the moniker :-)

I'm familiar with the gray-out conditions on Millennium Force. I seem to remember it lasting from the bottom of the first drop all the way into the first airtime hill. It doesn't happen every time (I would argue seat choice and weather effects on the exact speed of it cause the variance), but no, Jeff isn't imagining it.

It's strongest in the middle of the train, which is where I prefer to sit. The airtime is probably longest there was well, particularly on the water cross-overs.

Airtime is a tricky thing. If you like to float at the top of the hill aim for the front of the train. If you like being yanked out of your seat on the way down hit the back. The middle of the train, to me, provides the most sustained, even airtime. Some of my most enjoyable rides on Diamondback have been in the middle.

She may be grey, but apparently still packs quite a ride...front, back, or even in the middle.

I've come very close to greying out many times on MF. For me, there's a direct correlation between how much sleep I've had the night before. If I'm tired and not well rested, I can easily tunnel vision all the way through the first tunnel. I think it would be awesome to actually pass out on MF. I've only fainted a handful of times in my life (from being sick, and once from the pain of breaking my thumb) but you always come to not knowing where you are. Wouldn't it be weird to wake up and say "Oh sweet! I'm riding Millennium Force?"
