Much better winter weather in NC than in MA. :)

I'm pretty sure that the track has been completed on WC a couple days ago. Now comes the real deal, testing.

I didn't even realize this was being built. Just rode Iron Rattler and yeah. Hoping these start to replace other large wooden coaster duds out there. *cough* Mean Streak *cough*

The more of these RMC rides I see, the more I want to see. I think this is the sleeper hit of the year (don't anyone tell Paula I said that). ;~P

But I'm getting older (argh!), and less tolerant of inversions...really need to get my butt to Arlington for a second, hopefully more successful, run at NTG.

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

WC layout is the layout I wish was used on Goliath. I think Goliath could wrap around itself a few more times. WC has areas where there are 3 or so track sections next to each other

Personally, I think of Mr. Fields.

[IMG]The last piece of track went in on Sunday. Media day is scheduled for May 20th with it opening memorial weekend. You can follow the construction on sfneonline.com. Both trains are on the track and testing will be starting when they finish painting the structure. Here's a cool night shot of the hurricane logo which was put on yesterday.

Great - atleast ther eis not too much delay. Better than those infidels at Magic Mountain who have pushed Twisted Colossus to Summer of 2015. I guess the lack of water in California will be the scapegoat.

That, and that they tried to burn it down last year.

TC is longer than WC so naturally it will take a bit longer. Yes they had good weather to build TC but the park wasn't closed over winter so maybe that slowed down construction. It annoys me though that the longest steel in America was the first one of the new coasters in 2015 to open up.

I'm not surprised at all that Thunderbird & Fury 325 are up and running before the new RMC coasters. When you consider the B&Ms come in pieces that are then assembled like a puzzle, as opposed to the RMCs arriving as a pile of lumber which is then built into a coaster, I would definitely expect the steel to go up quicker. Plus keep in mind B&M had however long to fabricate track pieces before on-site construction started...

But then again, what do I know?

I thought about it and there's two track pieces per section of track on an rmc so that makes sense. But I think TC should have opened before a ride that was built in a blizzard.
