I thought about it and there's two track pieces per section of track on an rmc so that makes sense. But I think TC should have opened before a ride that was built in a blizzard.

Both rides are being built by the same company in sort of a split squad, and both have had their challenges (TC had to deal with a major fire and lift hill rebuild).

Great - atleast ther eis not too much delay. Better than those infidels at Magic Mountain who have pushed Twisted Colossus to Summer of 2015.

I bring this up on almost every California construction thread, but Summer Season here starts in mid-June. Not Memorial Day like the rest of the country. In fact, it's shocking to many (including some of the imagineering/creative team) that all of the Disneyland 60th anniversary stuff is starting mid-May, rather than mid-June.

No one should have expected TC to open in May, even prior to the fire.

At first, I thought the structure was all steel, but then I realized they painted it gray before they put it up. The guy power washing the paint off the old stuff gave that away in the article.

Is the 1st overbank turn the same as the original riverside cyclone? I remember you could see remnants of it throughout it's days after six flags modified it.

Except, Twisted Colossus is opening in May.

Yeah, just saw that it's set to open May 23rd. I don't think anyone expected that. (cue the Spanish Inquisition graphic)
