Cedar Point Annoucement

Tuesday at "high noon" Cedar Point has a major annoucement. They've had numerous hints and clues that lead to Mean Streak, Mantis, and the old Pirate Ride area. They have cameras pointed at Mean Streak and the old Pirate Ride building right now. I'm assuming most here know about the test paint on Mantis. Which ride is gonna be "King James" All will be answered really soon and I can't wait!!! Let the predictions begin!!!

THINK ABOUT THE CAPACITY OF THE ANNOUNCEMENT! AND THE CHILDREN!!

If a petition is what it takes then I'm on it. Because this is unacceptable. I'm sure in no time I'll have ten signatures.

What are the best weekends to visit in the fall? I would guess the Sept. Weekends would be the lightest crowds. Columbus day, up till halloween would be much heavier. Does this sound about right?

Yes this is true. But are all weekends equal?

No. Especially next weekend when the park is closed Friday the 5th and Saturday the 6th. Halloweekends starts the 12th, so expect it to be busy. As a general rule, I'd say earlier in the fall schedule is better than later, but you never know. Crowds are always affected by weather.

Is Columbus day weekend significantly busy

Go earlier rather than later. I visited Cedar Point on a Friday near the middle of October last year and not only was the park packed, it was only open for about six hours. I rode two coasters and did about half of the haunts in that amount of time.

Hopefully Mean Squeak will be either:

1. Get the same RMC Treatment that Six Flags are doing to some of their Coasters

2. Better yet, Torn Down and be replaced with a new Coaster from either Gravity Group or GCI!

A new name on mean streak will change EVERYTHING

The announcement that "the announcement" will be Tuesday should be giving everyone a significant clue already about what it isn't going to be.....the media wasn't invited to the park; rather, everyone was directed to the web site. Eliminates some of the speculation.

During the Camp-out event, there were some hints when the characters came through the park shrieking and wailing. Since it was almost 2am and the sound system was less-than-optimal, it was impossible for me to understand what they were saying. Those "in the know" said they dropped hints about the Halloween event (Hexed) and something about the New for 2015 ride addition.

As it is, I'm waiting for Tuesday the same as everyone else...
