I hate people! Check out the video. Guy tells his 2 daughters to yank on the rabbit's tail. The rabbit confronts them and now they wanna sue? Seriously, I hope Disney takes them to the cleaners.

Thanks,

These people misbehave in the park and then get all butthurt about a character actor getting a little angry? What he said was not acceptable, but what on earth makes them think they have to sue or that this is a reason to sue?! This kind of blatant exploitation of the legal system infuriates me. Money grubbing pieces of garbage.

In this country, what isn't reason to sue anymore?
I'm not really up on the outcomes of most of the lawsuits against Disney, but I wouldn't be surprised if they settled this one.
Disney is usually pretty aggressive at settling quietly. That they haven't this time suggests that the Mouse is convinced the case has zero merit.
I think it makes sense to select a few cases that Disney considers "eminently winnable", and then take them all the way to court in a very visible way. This could theoretically cut down on the number of "semi-frivolous" suits (the ones that typically are settled quietly and with a relatively small settlement figure).
Og, the character actor DID grab the girl and curse at her. It was unprofessional, and a little creepy. He should at the least get written up, but I think he should be fired. I know they have rough jobs, and I would never ever EVER want to do it, but he chose to do the job. He knows the consequences for messing up at that job (as with any job).
But suing the park for it? It is a crock, and it ticks me off as well. These kinds of people (among others) get my blood boiling.
A question I have though for people who have been to Disneyland: where were the "handlers" for the White Rabbit? I couldn't see enough (stupid vertical video) to tell if there were handlers. In Disney World, each character has Disney-outfitted security around them. Do the DL counterparts also have these? If they DO, why weren't the handlers stopping the girls from pulling the tail or stopping the White Rabbit from running off?

Yeah, that's why I'm wondering about the "handlers". I was surprised that no one stopped them.
I'm also surprised the family encouraged the bad behavior and then decided to sue when the employee fought back. Guess the family was never taught that if you torment an animal, it most likely will turn around and bite you.

The father is still laughing when the rabbit gets physical with his daughter. He clearly didn't think at the time that she was being treated poorly by the rabbit actor.
Some people think that it's okay to show disrespect to employees at a business that they are a customer of. They think that it's their right as customers to be allowed to act like buttholes toward the employees. These are people that think that they are better than everyone else. These people suck.
I show everyone that I come across the same respect that I want them to show me. It's not rocket science.

Thank you, MrZero, I was a little mystified by that.
Travis, I see the lack of respect and just basic human decency more and more along the spectrum for both employees and customers in every industry. You would not BELIEVE some of the stuff I have encountered as a nurse. I'm not even old by any stretch of the imagination, but sometimes I cannot get over the way people behave; I was brought up to believe in respect, courtesy, kindness, and tolerance. However, I have caught myself shaking my head and going, "In MY day....". The sense of entitlement and butthurt people have anymore is appalling.
