Under-rated, little known coasters
I too was going to say Cyclops right away, and then Outlaw.
OK, here's another one (I know this is not a family-owned park, sorry!)....Mamba. What??? A hyper coaster that's little known and under-rated? I LOVED this ride. I thought it was AMAZING, but no one ever talks about it or even mentions it, it often seems. Anyone else who has ridden Mamba think it seems to go unnoticed in the coaster world? My guess is that it's most likely location. If it was in CA or Ohio it would probably get lots more attention.

Fire Dragon and Roller Coaster @ Lagoon. Fire Dragon isn't the worlds fastest, tallest, longest, most inverting Steel Coaster in the world, but it is a Schwarzkopf and is always exciting and fun. Roller Coaster isn't large either, but is does have history and is always a great ride.

Yes it is, and being from the UK, I'm very surprised how many times Americans have asked me what it is like - shame I've never been on it - it's in the middle of nowhere.
However, until I've ridden it, I would have to say the Grand National at Blackpool Pleasure Beach in England. I know the park is big, but it is family run. The coaster is not under-rated either, just not heard of by many Americans.
It's a mobius racer with airtime only beaten by the Phoenix at Knoebels. If you like Kennywood's Racer, then you'll love the National: it's bigger; faster; longer; has two double-downs; and has airtime on EVERY hill.

And, if you ask me, it's got one of the coolest coaster names around. "Grand National." That's just... grand!

THANK YOU!! Megaphobia is sooooo good, as smooth as a woodie should be, loads of air, and perfect lats. Although i havn't riden any woodies in the US, people who have still say Megaphobia beats them:)
Is it still completely trimless? I remember a coaster show over here a few years back where they stressed the fact that there are no brakes on the coaster anywhere except "at the end of the ride." I've often wondered, since the show was made in '98, if that policy has changed.

How about the Arkansas Twister at Magic Springs? I never see much comment about it on any site hese days. It's not the biggest or baddest but is still a very nice classic style woodie. I remember riding it when it still resided in Florida as the Hurricane. It is the one coaster that turned me into a coaster lover. What do you think of this ride?
Le Monstre at La Ronde in Montreal. This is absolutely the BEST wooden coaster i have ridden, and since woodies are my favorite, i give it BEST coaster period. Big 120 ft drop, lots of smoooooth twisting turns that really flow, great helix. It has 2 courses, but i liked the first one so much, i never rode the other? Anyone else been so lucky to ride this sweet twister?
I was just in New Orleans and Jazzland's Mega Zeph (yes, another CCI) is fantastic, but I hear very little about it!! It is every bit as good as CCI's "best" creations like Ghostrider, The Legend and Raven. Worth the price of admission alone. Dipping turnarounds, sustained speed, air, trick-track, you name it, Mega Zeph has it! I got 12 laps, re-rides galore, it was awesome!

ORPHANED ROCKER in Australia........It was built, demeed dangerouse, and never opened, but it still stands in the Blue Mountains region. People have ridden it, but there were concerns when dummies on the test run were discovered 200ft down the cliff the ride turns over!!
