ride opps and line jumpers

I have noticed from personal experiance and other posts on this message board that ride opps seem to not care when you report line jumpers. We reported some line jumpers on Raging bull but it took about 10 minutes for them to do anything. This really bothers me that most ride opps have no procedure for this. i would like to know if any of you have had similar experiances?

WHAT? When I was in line for the bull I saw line jumpers and I told the ride opps and they immediately kicked the person out of the park.

well after telling them 3 times they said who is it agian and said what do u want me to do about it. i was very angry about the whole thing. it made my whole wait for the ride unbearable becasue these people were on there cell phone calling there friends braging about it. all i have to say is i have seen some people who really dont care what goes on at SFGam so we will see if this improves along the season.

It depends on the park and the ride op. I've seen them booted frequently at Cedar Point, once at PKI and twice at BGW last year. On the other hand, I've ratted on vandals at SFGL in the Villain queue and they don't care.

My favorite incident, while not exactly professional, was a ride op on Wild One at SFA, who pointed out a guy and told him to go to the back. The guy ignored the ride op, who in turn yelled, "Hey! Stupid! Can you hear me? Get your stankass to the end of the line."

Don't bother telling anyone at SFoG, they get POed at you for reporting such things. The reaction I got when I complained was it's not like the lines are all that long, don't you have something else to worry about?

My favorite incident was on thier Batman, we were waltzing through the quee, and given, there was no line, but I wasn't about to climb over the rails, which were already loose to boot, and this woman and her teenage rough 'uns went through it two steps ahead of me and right in front of me. My wife was like excuse me, and these people turned around and hashed out hell, we were the dumbest people on Earth for not wanting this woman to get in front of me, directly in front of me, I mean she like almost knocked us down! She runs to where there's people, lets us have our spot back, goes "there you go, is it OK now?!" Mumbles some crap to some of the other people, and everybody starts laughing at us. Who was doing something wrong there? I really care if all those people are idiots and didn't understand what was going on. The rail was loose from people not going the way they were supposed to, a repair, a small repair but small repairs add up because repairs aren't free. Anyways, the op told me if the same person got in front of me three times, they would have to go to the back of the line.

Anyways, IMO, if there's a walkway you have to go through, ie. railing and there's no people standing there, I feel it's just as bad as hopping in the fronts of people to climb over because you're lazy. If it's roped off, walk it!

Yesterday at SFGADV had a person walk through the que all the way to the front of the front row. Reported it to the rideops and they waited until the person was at the gate and actually got on the train then pulled the person off the train and out of the park.

My favorite thing to do was tell the person to ask all the people that they just jumped in front of if it was okay with them. Most people realized that they looked like an*****in front of all of those people and went to the back. Waiting till they got to platform was also a fun thing to do. It relieved some stress at the same time.

2 years ago, some kid jumped a railing at the line for Iron Wolf, since it was near closing time, there weren't many people in line, but a security guard called the kid out of the line and started lecturing him, that kids face turned white when the security guard called him!

I've gotten to deal with line jumpers twice so far at Hersheypark. Both incidents were on the Wildcat. I was on the queue side of the track when I see two teenage kids skipping past everyone up the ramp. They got in line for the front seat (an extra 10 minute wait). When it was their turn to get on I told them to walk through the train and down the exit because they had cut in line. They were so pissed, but the people in line who had got cut in front of gave me some applause :).

Come over SFWOA Were line jumping happens all the time. Its to the point were its while waiting in line for Any major rides there will be 3-4 line jumpers in diffrent spots. too Much to even keep track any more.

As a ride op, I'll tell you, I will not tolerate line jumpers. I will get park security on them quick

If you go to Cedar Point, they do not put up with any of that what-so-ever. Go to SFWoa, they could care less, sometimes I think they don't even care if you are locked in your seat. Kind of an Oh Well attitude.

When I was at SFWoA last Wednesday, security guards were everywhere. They were in all major lines. X-flight had 4 guards and kicked out at least 50 people (most for smoking, some for line jumping, and one that pulled a handrail out of the cement)

Like Jeff said, it depends on the ride op. I call security. While others handle it in differant ways. I know at my park, it is a very serious issue. Even when I come in as a guest, I don't tolerate it.

Disney has a dont- take-no**** policy on line jumpers. It was a 30 minute line for space mountain, and these two stupid kids start pushing people out of the way in line, and it turns out there was a park worker in line, and he grabbed them and kicked them out for 2 Months

What i really really hate is when you are in line for a ride and someones people are in line way ahead of you and they leave to go to get something to drink or whatever and then they push their way right back past you to get back with their people that are Saving their place in the line.. why they outta get to the back of the line!!! I think them doing that is a bunch of C---!! If they get out of line make them get to the back of the line. I had a grown man step on my 8 year olds foot and it hurt her!!! I waited for the guy to get of Batman, down by the exit and confronted him and he said so and i said so?.. proceded to kick his ass!! I don't care if they push me outta their way I WILL PUSH BACK AND PUSH BACK VERY VOILENTLY!!!! HEEHEEE. This happened at SFGRAM.

I hate it when one or two people hold a spot in line (and you're not aware that they're doing it) and their 15 other friends are riding elsewhere in the park, then as it approaches boarding time, THEY ARRIVE!!! Arrggghhh! This happened to me at SFGAdv with 17 people who were Russian. Nothing against Russians or anybody else...only a problem with RUDE INDIVIDUALS of any pursuasion. Since I was not there with anyone for moral support, I didn't report them (neither did anyone else!), didn't want 17 people vs little 'ol me! But I was sure p*ss*d off!!!

When I was at Dorney Park a few weeks ago, security officers were kicking people out of line for Steel Force at an alarming rate. Never mind the fact that the wait was 10 to 15 minutes at the most... There was security watching over Talon's line as well, but no one seemed to attempt anything funny there.

Personally, I got great satisfaction out of seeing these rude, inconsiderate individuals be humiliated by being singled out in front of a crowd, and get knocked back to the very end of the line. Revenge is sweet, almost as sweet as Steel Force itself!

I don't mind if someone re-enters the line because they had to go to the bathroom, or some other legitimate reason, but if someone tries to line jump me, I will say something.

Not long ago at SFStL, some kids jumped line. We didn't say anything. Then about 10 min later, some of their friends came through the line and tried to join them. We made them go back. This really p--ssed them off, and they eventually ended up bypassing the entire cue by going through the part of the maze that was closed, and joined their friends anyway. I warned them that they are likely to get kicked out of the park once we got to the station and security/staff found out. They just gave us dirty looks the rest of the wait.

Well anyway, we finally got to the loading dock, and I told the ride op what they did. I don't know if they did anything because we got on the train right away. Most likely they just got a weak warning. I thought it was kinda funny though, because even though they cut us in line, we still rode before them, as they were waiting for the front, and we went to the back (this also gave us the chance to snitch them out, since we got to the ride op before they boarded).

Oh yeah, this is a serious problem and I hate dealing with it. When we went to Knott's on 5/25 it was crawling with kids and we got into some heated arguments with parents who sent their kids up into the line to hold spots for them while they took their other kid to get something to drink, eat, whatever. There were also kids jumping in and out of line at will. When I told a worker in the Ghostrider line that line jumping was taking place, she looked at me and said, "Oh, ok" and that was it. Nothing was done. We were so po'ed the entire day because every single line we were in had line jumpers. I don't see it too much at PGA and SFMW, but I definately saw it at Knott's.
