Cedar Fair leadership changes

I don't have all of the facts, but apparently Cedar Fair moved some people around, canned at least one GM, and brought in another new VP.

Will share more when I know more.

Larry Mackenzie - Valleyfair

I've heard some things that made me think the writing was on the wall for the guy at ValleyFair. Think I might even know who the new VP is.

But, some of these moves aren't going to resonate too well amongst the rest of the staff if Bart isn't addressed.

Who is Bart?

Bart is Dick Kinzels son, GM of Carowinds.

Oh...wow....egad! Nepotism much?

I doubt there's any chance of that.

Here's what I've put together, but none of this is official...

They did indeed let go of Valleyfair's GM.
They let go of the CP VP of Marketing, and put the corporate VP of marketing there.
There's a new corporate VP of Marketing.
Kinzel apparently still has a job.

Kinzel needs to leave, already. He is only looking out for himself, and not the greater good of the company, in my opinion.

Nice to have that cleared up. Not good news, but better that my assumptions.

By not addressing the elephant in the room I think it does tarnish or diminish, at the very least, much of the good that he is doing right now.

I was referring to Bart. Dick is the albatross. Or, maybe he is more like the tortoise slowly leaving the room.
