Kings Dominion is rolling out two attractions instead of one for the 2012 season. For thrill seekers, the theme park in northern Hanover County will announce this morning that it will erect WindSeeker, a 301-foot-tall swing ride. For family entertainment, it is building Dinosaurs Alive!, an interactive dinosaur exhibit.

What it says to me is that the Dinos at KI must have made a small fortune.
For a second I thought someone resurrected a 2011thread about Kings Island. I wonder if they just took last years press release, whited out island and added dominion. ;-)
Personally, I like the Windseekers. I'd like to see the operations improved on it though. The load/unload was painfully slow. That being said, the view at CP and KI was very nice. I find it a relaxing and fun ride. It's a nice cool breeze on a hot day as well.

That's my takeaway too.
I agree with what is said above.. It seems in the past, Six Flags did the "rides in bulk" thing, while Cedar Fair built more custom rides and less cookie-cutters installations. It has seemed to flip the last two years. Six Flags is installing a few incredible rides ,while the bulk of CF's announcements have been dinosaurs and windseekers :)
Cedar Fair has been doing this for a while now. They just weren't as obvious about it. Many of the parks have gotten a frisbee and a swing ride in the past 5-10 years +/-
