Well, I thought the Double Loop @ SFWoA was pretty smooth. Jeff says that Magnum is Arrow's big mistake because it is smooth :)

I haven't ridden it, but supposedly Tennessee Tornado at Dollywood is as smooth as a B&M.

Loch Ness Monster isn't too bad either. Especially considering that it's 23 years old.

What about Phantom's Revenge at Kennywood? It has Arrow track and it also has Morgan track as well. So would this be cinsidered a smooth Arrow or a smooth Morgan?

All Arrows are smooth. Every single one.
They track well, and provide a thrill for young and old.

What appears to be "rough" are the transitions. Arrows of the mid 1980s and early 1990s were built using a new type of engineering software, which allowed the rides to do too much in any given space.
(Vortex, Desperado, Steel Phantom, Shockwave).

So; Arrows are Smooth, the transitions are Rough.

The Mine Train at SFOG is smooth, although it can get rough since it has tight curves.

What's not smooth about the Demon? (SFGAm) I didn't see anything wrong with Shockwave either, though others seem to think so.

I rode Shockwave for the first time this year recently (it was closed the first few times I was at the park this season), and it was a lot smoother than I remembered. It still wasn't "B&M" smooth, but smoother than expected.

I think the car you are in makes a big difference. I usually ride the front, or the back. This time I rode the front seat of the last car, or maybe it was the back seat of the 2nd to last car - I don't remember - but it seemed to be smoother than one of the very end seats.

SFGAm's Demon is smooth, until you get to the double corkscrew. Shockwave is smooth if your in the front car.

The rides are smooth oh yes, but it is those damn trains! Yes, transistions are a bad problem too. I can rememeber distinctly watching the Vortex at PKI getting ready to eneter into the double loop. The trains literally slam into the straight, down slope postion from the dive before it. You can see every single rider jerk to the left(or right? I know it is one side). The new Arrow's look sweet though. The mine trains aren't too bad.

Shivering Timbers- for the love of Michigan's Adventure, just ride it.

There used to be two trains untill one crashed, well actually three but two crashed and now one is repaired. Anyways, one train is smooth as Glass, the other is extremely rough.

Also, ever sat in the back left on the original drop, DAMN!!;)

I'm probably in a minority of 1 here but I always though Corkscrew at Cedar Point was fairly smooth.
