Smooth Arrows do they exist?

Their suspended coasters are pretty bearable, and I thought Gemini was amazing! Corkscrew was hemorage*-inducing... Double Loop at SFWOA was also pretty nice. Also, transitions are on the Arrow coasters, so why aren't the Arrow coasters rough?

REDWINGS FOREVER!!!!!!!!!
If you ride the right train, Viper at Six Flags Magic Mountain is very smooth.
Loch Ness and Big Bad Wolf
Double is pretty smooth now that i think about it.

the return of Intaminrocks
Supposedly, on X they will introduce a new system (to Arrow anyways) that will keep the wheels in constant contact with the track. I always thought that was the problem with Arrows, and it only really seems to be a problem through their corkscrews. Years ago I went on Viper at SFMM 8 times in a row in the back seat, boy was that a bad idea! My ears were ringing for days!
The Cedar Creek Mine Ride is extremly smooth after 30+ years. It is an Arrow.

"What appears to be "rough" are the transitions. Arrows of the mid 1980s and early 1990s were built using a new type of engineering software, which allowed the rides to do too much in any given space.
(Vortex, Desperado, Steel Phantom, Shockwave).

So; Arrows are Smooth, the transitions are Rough."

Huh? What program? Hopefully not the same one that designed every corkscrew and Orient Express,... Demon and Loch Ness Monster... Any Arrow "program" they used (OK, I haven't ridden Tennesse Tornado) is pretty crappy, if you consider head banging crappy (I do). Other than archaic programs, I think Arrows problem is that they lacked common sense. Shockwave at SFGAm a prime example. Anyone take a look at the first support after the station. This is why I quit the engineering field, I couldn't handle it :> I'd have too many "stupid" and "obvious" mistakes.

From the sound of it, seems like they "got it together." I do think they broke HUGE ground in the 70's and 80's, but let it "out of control" a bit. I hope "X" at Magic Mountain will prove this.
I have ridden the Pepsi Max at Blackpool a few times and it has not once been smooth. It literally throws you down the first drop and bashes you into the sides on the turns. ALL coasters are smooth on the straight sections, and I think that is what you a are talking about here. On a realted note, Irn-Bru Revolution at the Pleasure Beach is the smoothest coasters I have ever ridden, but it is straight track only.
Luna Park Sydney's Big Dipper is quite smooth. I don't know if Seaworld Australia's Corkscrew is by Arrow or Vekoma, it's very smooth.

"What about Phantom's Revenge at Kennywood? It has Arrow track and it also has Morgan track as well. So would this be cinsidered a smooth Arrow or a smooth Morgan?"

Well you should consider it a smooth Morgan, since most of the track is Morgan. The first drop, and leading up to the second drop is all Arrow (and is even smoother than from the Steel Phantom - must be the trains). After that, everything is Morgan...and that is *very* smooth.

If you ride any train on viper in the right rows its very smooth just ride in the back the front cars get jostled around too much do to lack of speed but the last two cars are smooth almost B&M smooth. *** This post was edited by coaster_freak00 on 6/16/2001. ***
