Not exactly worth posting to news but...

No more SpongeBob. No more motion seats. No more free rides. 10 minutes of 3D dinos for $2 per person.
Yet another reason I'm not regretting a lack of CF passes this year.
Loved that Spongebob film. My kids are gonna be pissed.
I loved the Spongebob 3-D film as well. It was a must-ride every trip to KI. I laughed hysterically every time I rode it.
Who is going to be happy to shell out cash for a different 3-D movie in the same location that doesn't use motion seats, of which used to be included with admission? I bet they will get a lot of complaints on a daily basis about that.
My interest that I may have had about this whole dinosaur upcharge thing is now fizzling out. They can count me out. I don't really care anymore. I do hope that it attracts a lot of customers so the lines for the coasters are shorter.
Edited to add - Has anyone watched the trailer for the new film? The CGI is Playstation One quality, if that. I'm not impressed at all. Besides that, isn't the outdoor DA attraction in "real life" 3-D? HAHAHA!

Holiday World is corporate too. They're under the Koch Development CORPORATION.
Corporations=evil so if that's the case I guess Holiday World is evil too.
Guess it's a good thing that TGG is an LLC or the Voyage would be doubly evil.
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.
How do you feel nickle and dimed to death when you buy a season pass and don't spend another dime? Would you even have watched the movie if it were free? I wouldn't. I haven't watched a movie in the Action FX theater in years and it's been free.
I'd much rather pay for a Platinum Pass than a Holiday World pass that not only costs more nickels and dimes but gets you access to less parks. And Platinum gets you Carowind's awesome Flyers.
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.
Isn't that kind of the point though? The reality is almost irrelevant in the face of what people perceive.

I agree with the whole perception argument for the most part and i certainly won't be paying extra for either attraction. I jet get tired of the same people bashing the same park every time theres an announcement because a former owner took out their favorite ride half a decade ago.
The reality is neither of these attractions are going to appeal to the majority of the members of this site. But I'd almost guarantee they'll be a smash hit with kids. It has Dinosaurs. Heck it could pay off the money they paid to Apollo. Dinosaurs!

Totally. And that's where it feels like some of these parks have failed more than anywhere - in conveying the actual value to their customers.
The value is there, but the way some of these guys do business you'd think they're trying their hardest to hide it.
I was excited to go to Dino Alive. When we were at KI on Saturday they had an animitronic dino at the front of the park and a stationary one back by Windseeker. The one in the back was not impressive at all. The paint was worn and it looked as though it had been used many times before. I figured that would be the case, but I expected that they would have at least touched up the finish.
I will probably spring for this 1 time, but can almost guarantee it won't be more then that.
