Six Flags Magic Mountain, in celebration of 40 years of thrill ride innovation, today announced an unprecedented year of capital expansions with three new roller coaster experiences slated for the Valencia theme park in 2011. With these additions, Six Flags Magic Mountain regains the coveted "Coaster Capital of the World" crown - with a total of 18 roller coasters – more than any other theme park on the planet.
Adding to the Park’s "thrills for all ages" coaster dynasty are two unique coaster experiences: the Green Lantern coaster, designed for the bravest of thrill seekers, is a first-in-the-U.S. vertical track, spinning coaster; and the park’s popular Superman The Escape will fly again in spring 2011 as Superman: Escape from Krypton, taking the record-breaking 100-mph-in-seven-seconds feature and elevating it to the next level of extreme by reversing the direction of the vehicles and sending riders backwards . In addition to those two exciting rides, a new thrill-seeker-in-training coaster, designed for the entire family, will premiere as well.

Come on guys....
I know it was mentioned earlier in the thread regarding the potential capacity issue with GL...but, with 18 coasters, I'm a firm believer that they don't need eighteen 1500 pph coasters.
There will likely be more of a problem in the inaugural season, but as it becomes just another one of the 18 (or 19, or 20) - I don't see it being such an issue.
CP has things like Wildcat after all.
Nothing to see here. Move along.

I'd at least assume you think its cool to look like you sleep in an alley, and smell like an abortion, but it really isn't.
Are you like twelve-years-old? Did you steal that from some witty poster on eBaums World?
The photo was taken by a fan after I performed on stage in front of over a thousand people with my old band. After that, many people clamored to get me to sign their CD that they just purchased. So yes, it is cool to be me. ...It looks like you don't have a photo.
You probably should read the CoasterBuzz forum post guide. It's all mostly common sense, but you still might gain something from it.
Sorry, everyone, for all of the noise.

No. You of all people should understand this, Vater, because you've probably been in that situation before. Our performance prompted the mad rush. The photo was actually part of the mad rush.
The rush really wasn't crazy mad, but it was more than I was ever used to seeing.
I like my photo. It reminds me of the "good ol' days", which were really just a couple of years ago. I like to think that it captures my personality perfectly.
Someone should start a topic about this. I'm interested in what people would have to say about their avatars.

I wasn't bragging or anything. The main point was that I like my photo, and that CS doesn't have one. Stones... Glass houses...
I want to stop talking about that now, please. :)
So, after pondering the capacity issue with Green Lantern, and hearing that the new (this year), low capacity coaster at Kennywood isn't causing too much of a problem, is it safe for me to say that maybe GL wont have as long as a wait as I think it will? SFMM has so many rides now, is it possible that maybe they don't need another high capacity ride, especially after GL is a few years old?
I think that a few flat rides would take the heat off of the coaster lines, for sure.
