From their Facebook page,

The wait is almost over until we announce our plans for what’s new at the parks. We’ve got big news to share with all of you on Sept. 18 about what we have planned for Busch Gardens and Water Country USA. It’s a two-year plan that revitalizes both parks. This is the first time we’ve announced so many projects this early. Here’s a video to whet your appetite …

Thoughts?

Well, I definitely think the parks are nice enough not to need a 'revitalization'...but I welcome it. Interesting video, looks like the next 2 years will be good. I suspect a new country and some rides at BGW.

I think that pretty much confirms the drop tower?

Did they get planning for it in the end?

Nothing to see here. Move along.

But why not a Windseeker? I hear they are cheaper by the dozen :)

I think this really points out the difference between being on the "inside" and being on the "outside".

Honestly, now, who of us on the "outside" really had any idea that Busch Gardens needed to be "revitalized"?

I wouldn't put too much stock in that term. It's marketing at its finest, especially after the company was bought out.

Well, from everything I have heard, for the "insiders" it may well be a "revitalization". That the rest of us are ignorant of that is a testament to an awful lot of effort on the part of the staff in that park.

But then, it's all hearsay. I am, after all, as previously noted, an "outsider".

I am glad that the new owners are willing to spend some money on the parks, rather than just sitting back.

But I agree with others on here. The park looks great as is.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Yeah, it's too bad that they have such a crappy deal on their season pass. They really should copy Six Flags. ;)

The only thing that I got out of that video was that you will be able to see a attraction when you look up.

Hot air balloon rides, perhaps?

Just kidding. Everyone already knows that it'll be a drop tower at BG, but now we can assume that there will be more than just that.

The real mystery for me is what is going on at WC? A really tall waterslide?

I was at BGW this past Monday (Labor Day) and the place was not busy at all. Multiple rides on all the coasters and Alpie was running with lots of empty seats.
The park was immaculate but the area around the former Big Bad Wolf was deserted. I expect a new, major attraction there, hopefully as part of the revitalization. The "Fabio" pond at the base of AC's first drop was filled with trash which really shocked me. All in all, one of the best theme parks in the USA.

Same with Great Adventure. I wonder if Labor day is just not a busy day at parks?

The real mystery is what's going on at BGT.

They really should copy Six Flags.

...or Maverick.

I wonder if Labor day is just not a busy day at parks?

Cedar Point always used to list it as one of the better days to come. Makes sense. The kids start school the next day---they are already wound up enough as it is, adding some major outing to that would only make them worse.
