Does ValleyFair rock, or what?!

Hey, let me here all of your opinions on Valleyfair in MN. I mean with "Wild Thang", Excalibur, and the wave. I think it is one of the SAWEETEST parks in the U.S. Write and tell me what you think!

Valleyfair is a cool park, it is very underated because of it's location. Though Wild-Thing is an obvious Magnum clone, it still packs a powerful punch. As far as Excalibur goes it is one of the most intense coasters I have ever been on.

It's a pretty good park, but not one of the best. I thought it appeared kind of runned down and dirty so that kind of turned me off a bit. Great coasters but....

It's ok. It's still no SFGAm or Cedar Point.

I think Cedar Fair's policy of only spending money from the individaual park on improvments on the same park is B.S. Don't they know that you have to spend money to make money ? Maybe some of these parks would perform better if they had better, more expensive rides. If you build it, they will come...so they say.

OK, Wild Thing is a Magnum clone...let's see, built by a different company, TOTALLY different layout...yeah, real similar.

I like Valleyfair! It's a pretty well-rounded park, it just needs like one or two more trademark rides to make it a destination of enthusiasts. Hopefully, it'll get that B&M invert it deserves, and maybe a mega-looper. Think about it, the only looping coaster there is the Corkscrew, which is an older Arrow looper. It has a good amount of flat and family rides already, it just needs to develop it's thrill department.

This seems very true. So far they are even being cautious with Knott's, their only year round park. Yet they have made several improvements around the park over the last 2 years. There's more to running a park than just adding caosters. Even Six Flags knows that.

I was just there, What would make it more fun is if there was a racing inverted coaster like dueling dragons from Islands of adventure, Universal studios, Orlando

I have been working there for 8 years. I enjoy working there, it's one of the premire parks in the upper midwest. We do draw crowds of 30,000 on midnight closings on Saturdays in July & August. It also has one of the lowest s-turns on Wild Thing, also it has the only S&S Power Tower in the midwest 275 feet! We are expecting a B&M inverted coaster for 2002 (Rumored to be true) can you imagine what that would do to the park's reputation and the attandance, also we would be the only park in the midwest to have a world class inverted, I think. What do you think will happen to Valleyfair in 2002, 25 silver aniversary this year something big next year?

I still think there should be dueling inverted coasters there

Valley Fair is #2 park in my mind!

This park is gonna rock next year when it getys its inverted


This park sure has come a long way, and with the new inverted( Maybe i am in the minorty but i would rather see a intamin like tornado than B&M predictable.)

No, Gemini is an out and back and Excalibur is a twister, and Excalibur is a lot shorter. I don't think mamba would like to revisit valleyfair because now they ruined high roller with brakes. It is almost boring and it lacks the airtime it had in previous years. For the flat ride selection they have a falling star, enterprise, scrambler, chaos, looping ship, tilt a whirl, trabant, monster, kiddie rides, and a ferris wheel.

My favorite ride is Excalibur because it is intense, has helixes and airtime, and if it is too short for you, you can ride it again because the line is so short.

Why the hell does everybody think that Wild Thing is a clone of Magnum?? They are two VERY different hypers. That is one thing I would like to know. It is really starting to get annoying. I am constantly hearing this in other forums.
