Hmmm... I wonder which coaster I am a Phan of. LOL
I am just curious how many buzzer come for the whole weekend, and who camps at the park. It might be nice to plan something for next year, especially since the park is saying that Flying Turns and Black Diamond will be open. Already can't wait for October 8, 9, 10, 2010!
Go for the whole weekend and miss the crawl down the Parkway into the parking lot? No way!
Tina, considering I spent more time at the Phlyers this year than in years past, I can't believe we didn't run into each other. Knoebels isn't that large a park, but it does have a lot of little pathways between rides and buildings that people can travel.
Didn't somebody do a study somewhere about how crowds move in public places-- and how you tend to see the same people over and over again?
We always camp the whole weekend, when not in the park you can find us on South Carolina ave.
Went out for our last rides of the year last night...the rain stopped just in time and it was nice a warm. I was surprised that regular tickets still worked, someone had told us they were no good for the Hallo-Fun nights. Had a great op on the Flyers, finished out the night with a double length cycle...a full 5 minutes+. Cya in the spring Kozmo!
^^LOL phoenixphan, Rolling Thunder on Columbus Day *was* my last coaster - then yesterday we took a surprise detour to the Magic Kingdom and ended up getting BTMRR. Test Track and Sum of All Thrills were fun, but neither is a coaster in my book.
As always at PPP, if you see someone you think you recognize, you can either introduce yourself (kinda scary I know, LOL), or, you can simply ask me "Is that person X?". Odds are pretty good that I know them. ;)
You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)
If I'm reading correctly, RGB isn't handing out on Friday. He's handing out on Saturday.

Jason is correct. Friday I'll be going to Knoebels, while everyone else is watching HS football. I'm surprised that all the towns around us are having trick-or-treat on Saturday. I thought they wouldn't want the kids walking the streets the same time adults heading out to parties and bars. The only probable reason they didn't move it to Friday is because of all the football games.
Thursday would have been fine with me. Most people will be home watching the Phils vs. Yanks anyway.
PPP always for me means staying at the Super 8 in Mifflinville.
I was thinking I might have a family wedding next year but a short conversation with the mother of the bride seems to point to me being on the list of would have been invited if they were having a bigger wedding.
So as if now it looks like I'll be back next year sporting Denver Bronco and Philadelhia Flyer gear all weekend.

What was said was that the "second generation" train is expected to be delivered within 2 weeks. If that meets the park's satisfaction, additional trains will be ordered immediately. They also have the original plans for the Golden Nugget building. They have hired a local architect to review them and make the necessary revisions to bring the new building up to current building codes (IBC). Dick joked that the government must think they don't know how to building anything. The new enclosure for the eagles has also been constructed.
I can't wait for the reincarnation of the Golden Nugget. That was a favorite ride as a kid. I'm happy that my kids will get to ride it (eventually) It was depressing seeing it rotting away on the old Hunt's Pier
