Holiday World 2010

Off topic a little. Is anyone else surprised at how great a coaster HW got for 6.5 mil. Compare that to the 22 mil for Diamondback or 25 mil for TTD.

G2HF, that is is interesting how they use the same wording. I am still hopeful for a steel looper of some sort.

Just 2 weeks to wait.

I don't think we'll see a new coaster until we see an expansion of the park with a new holiday-themed land.

My guess is some kind of transportation or family ride. A skyride or monorail could certainly be "2nd largest" and would fit the rumored budget. It would also satisfy the percieved need for an easy way to get back and forth from the rear of the park. It could also be a tall observation ride or a large ferris wheel. ("...and what's that over there? more corn?...")

Whatever it is, my guess is it won't be from Intamin or B&M.

What holiday is next is the real question...

How about Presidents Day. Another log flume for Lincoln etc. I still want to see another coaster.

Surprisingly the public thinks of HW as being a 2nd class or worse park when we all know it is one of the best. When we were at SFKK I was talking to a couple that were on a "coaster tour" they were from St. Louis and were hitting SFKK, KI & CP. They had never heard of HW. They practically drove right past it and had no clue.

While a dozen coasters probably would not help that situation, many people here that they only have 3 coasters and lump in in to an also ran status.

My wish is Valentines Day. The ride and theming possibilities are endless.

I still think the play is on the 2nd largest ride project. The word money isn't involved. I think this goes back to the length of track. Also Paula said this would make everyone smile when Will makes the announcement.

I'm smiling so far :).

Of course we will smile...it's a new ride! lol

But considering both The Voyage's and Pilgrims Plunge's press release used the exact same wording, I think it's safe to say that the "2nd largest ride project" refers to the price.

Nothing is safe till August 13th.

I haven't seen Chris Hansen around for a while so YES I am sure that nothing is safe.

My bets are on one of those amzaingly insane Intamin spinning coasters in the fourth of July area of the park :o)

A custom spinning wild mouse in the 4th of july section. This will have to be something special as to compete with the hawg at Ib.

Yea, but that would be too simple for holiday world.

Besides, how much does a mouse cost? Not enough to be the 2nd largest project in the parks history.

Although a mouse would be a cool ride to have at the park.

I'm not taunting nor hinting at anything. I haven't a clue what the park is getting.

So let's face it, Moosh is obviously not taunting and not hinting that he doesn't know that HW is getting a spinning looping coaster. :)

Moosh isn't talking about the ride. Moosh is talking about Paula dropping hints.

Paula is a PR and marketing whiz.

What do you get from people like Paula no matter what the topic? What is her job, which she is so amazingly good at?
