what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Anyone else notice the article only lists 7 coasters? And when you click on the picture slide show, the picture for Steel dragon shows a water ride?

Another silly "Oh ****, deadline's approaching for my consumer interest piece, it's summer, what do people do? Uh... slip and slides. So 90's. I KNOW! Rollercoasters! *hops on google and searches coaster records*"

It's an ok article for most people...

Admittedly, I didn't follow too much of the X to X2 thread. I thought they just added the new effects, not a whole new dimension. So I'm left wondering exactly what a 5th Dimension coaster is-- does Marilyn McCoo sing "Up, Up and Away" while you're in the queue?

I love how the "picture" for SD2K shows the shoot-th-echutes instead. I guess that's what happens when they need a photo of an *operating* ride? 2.4*/5*.... ;)

Facts are surprisingly accurate and not sensationalized as much as I thought they would be.

Welcome back, red train, how was your ride?!

It didn't do a thing for me. I guess it might be exciting for someone who never heard of half of those rides and/or parks. It did look like a pretty easy article to write.

My only coaster enthusiast complaint... No Millennium Force? Why is Wicked Twister in there? I suspect that the writer wanted to give some examples of different kinds of coasters. MF is mentioned once or twice in the article.

Glad you asked about WT, Lost. I read it 3 times and couldnt for the life of me figure out what record it was trying to boast.. Maybe the twists??

WT holds the record for tallest shuttle coaster, previously held by Moonsault Scramble. Unless of course you count Superman The Escape as a coaster, that is ;)

I did.. Which is why I was confused at the "record"..

RCDB counts it as well..

But the article didnt make any record mention in it at all for WT..

The article mentions WT as "the tallest and fastest double twisting impulse coaster ever created"

Yay! That means I hold the worlds record for tallest and fastest Matthew Sullivan living in my house!

I think it's definitely the best version of the Impulse coasters, and I do enjoy them, but picking it out as one of the most notable at that particular park seems like a really odd choice.

I guess it was a toss-up between the tallest and fastest double twisting impulse coaster and M:TR.

Have you ridden V2 at Discovery Kingdom? IMO, there's no contest between that and any other Intamin shuttle.

^Absolutely agreed. The "fix" to that ride for the height problem almost rivals the OSTR-lapbar transformations of the Premiers.
