You tell you guys are new at this, but you have a great thing going. I'm glad there's a podcast of someone who knows what they're talking about.

I was using some crappy headset & microphone I picked up at Target about an hour before the event. I had that directly connected to the on-board soundcard of a computer running xp. I shut down my network other than my internet server (i am on wireless internet, need a computer to serve that) and the computer running skype. For future shows, I am planning on using a Shure mic either directly wired into my M-Audio external firewire audio box, or piped through my dj mixer into the system.

You'll be pleased to know that Jeff turned down my idea for a 20 minute rant about SFMM sucking. ;)

Very, very nice... you all sound so different then what I imagined...

But yeah, I love the podcast. A very lax setup, good discussion, some humor, an all around nice package. However, some of the volumes were off. Like, for example, I had my volume turned way up to hear someone, then Paula's voice came in, very loud. Scared the crap outta me.

Good job. Can't wait for the next one.

Don't know a lot about the podcast set-up...but for less than $200 and probably less than $100 if you get patient...you could pick up a Fostex FD-4 digital recorder (4-track) on E-bay. You would want one with an internal hard-drive installed (or install one yourself)! You could mix the whole thing in the box...

These are cheaper than the multitrack cards and quite easy to use...you already have the mic(s)---insert a limiter into the mix (an option not dire neccessity)---and I bet it would sound great (have not heard the pod cast so this is not meant to say that it does not sound great already)!

Just a cheap suggestion that would keep it simple...

Wow, you get everything in the iTunes documentation as it says it should be (length, image, etc.) and it doesn't quite appear right. Figures!

I didn't think any of the laughing was inappropriate. :)

Listen to CoasterRadio.com or whatever and tell me that guy isn't on crack. He just starts laughing, and they know very little about coasters. Finally some interesting insite to listen to in the car. :)

I think the cast sounded great…I’m not sure I’ve ever felt more like coaster geek than listening to the show, but I think it was very professionally done! Besides, this is my issue…

A couple of comments/observations… Jeff, you do not come off as near the know-it-all that you portray on the message board. You actually seem nice and reasonable…and dare I say…vulnerable. You took the time to inform the listeners that you were not an expert on the Snyder issue for example… This was a bit shocking…as I was tuning in to hear some hard-hitting opinionated talk radio. Your online personality would be the perfect counter-balance to Rush Limbaugh! You finally had the perfect format to let it loose, and you turned in a toned-down version of yourself that does not parallel your computer persona! I’m not sure if I was pleasantly surprised or mildly disappointed…but I was shocked nonetheless…Needless to say, the guy I heard on the podcast was not a guy I would ever suspect would start calling people names based upon the vehicle they drive… :-)

It goes to show…that you really cannot tell a lot about a person from message boards…

I did not hear inappropriate laughs from anybody. I actually thought it was moderated and produced quite well! The guests did great…and most importantly, there was good information available…especially Paula’s input!

This was much better done than most of the local am radio stuff we have in Vegas… You guys did great!

Nice job Jeff, I would like it if you had guests from other parks such as interviews with park GMs from different parks. I am good freinds with Lake Compounce Gm and SFNE GM and I'm sure they would agree to do an interview sometime for the show. This way everyone can hear plans for up coming seasons direct from the source.

Guys, say who you are! Nothing is more irritating to me during a talk show than not knowing who it is that's talking, even if it really doesn't matter all that much!

Other than that, and someone who was unnecessarily nervous, great job! Sounded real professional. While it did make me feel like a real geek, it was a little better that there wasn't any 14-year-old over-enthusiasm ;)

Was a good job all around, you guys (and gal) are all pretty smooth talkers, more so than I expected. You all had sort of an understated tone, the opposite of the in your face style that these boards seem to bring out. I think it's pretty ambitious to try to put a show like that together every week but good luck.
