Paramount's Kings Dominion has canceled the annual College Hip-Hop Fest that was produced with Viacom corporate cousin BET. Both parties cite declining attendance. The show was associated with two fatal shootings. It also raised more than $250,000 for black colleges over its seven-year run.

If it's the concert I can see why folks are hesitant about attending what with two fatal shootings in the parking lot I believe,I know after I heard about one of the shootings I was a little less than certain on wether or not I actually wanted to visit the park at all this year.
It was a great time/place to catch random smatterings of hootchies though.....but you can get that about anywhere.

Hip-Hop dosen't make bad people, bad parenting does. Mental illness does. But music dose not. True, while I don't condone the violence & sex in alot of music(hip-hop, country, pop, metal, etc.), people chose to listen to it, and chose to act a fool.
Maybe you should think before you vomit out those kind of gross comments, no?
And Samuel, realist? So you're saying no one will go to the park because there is a hip-hop concert going on? That is the second most asinine comment on this board, and just as prejudicial. And you mean to tell me you joined coasterbuzz just to post that in the news section today? Thats creepy.
I could tell you loads of people who go to parks "with hip-hop happenin". Just because there is any kind of concert there dosen't mean families won't go. My family when to PCar one time when So-So Def on tour was there back in the day, is there something wrong with that?
I think ya'll need to pull the blinders off your eyes. Then come tell me bout the "real world".
God. Stupid idiots.
