Theme Park Adventures has posted the official site plans for a new wooden roller coaster to be constructed at Enchanted Village/Wild Waves.

In May, Enchanted Village (a Six Flags park)filed a permit with the city of Federal Way, WA, to build a 75' tall wooden roller coaster. Scans of the official site plans, filed with the permit, are now posted on Theme Park Adventures, the Guide to Six Flags Seattle.

Look at all of those curves. GCI perhaps?

I don't know....I probably would've agreed, until Cornball.....CCI can do ANYTHING with layout and still make a great ride. The Northwest was in need, and this should answer the call.

I think you guys are both right! The curvy layout looks like some GCI madness, but (as gator said) CCI can do about anything they want.

I'd be curious to know the specs on those turnarounds. It'd be really cool if they were the GCI "Riverview Bobs-style" swooping turns.

Well it sure looks like the Seattle area is gonna see some nice wood in 03,they sure need it.

In the case of woodies unlike steel it doesn't much matter if it's by CCI or GCI,either way they are in for one fine coaster ride. *** This post was edited by BATWING FAN SFA on 7/11/2002. ***

I like the idea that they release the official site plan. Sort of makes you feel "important" for looking at it. Great way to hype it up for the public.

That layout just smells of GCI characteristics. But then again...it could be by Coasterworks too. I don't see it being a CCI though...something about it just seems not them.

Looks nice! CCI has done plenty of "curvy" coasters. Besides, I thought CCI was already confirmed for this?

moosh - Don't know that they were actually confirmed, it seemed more like an assumption to me.

Only 75ft. as the max height?

Has anyone ever thought about the possibility of the coaster being designed by . . . Premier Rides? Sure, it may seem off-the-wall, but my buddy is working for them at the moment, and he passed along some info to me that he heard about. Go ahead and laugh all you want, but when they release the info, let's see who turns out to be the designer.

chris - I did a google search and you're right, CCI was never confirmed for the park's woodie. My bad ;-(

S Wilson - 75 feet is plenty high...ask anyone who's ridden Cornball Express [which, yes, is slightly taller].

Ben - in addition to CCI and GCI it could also by Coasterworks or Intamin.

I *might* believe Intamin, but didn't I hear something about CoasterWorks either going belly-up or changing their line of work (no longer building from scratch)....I *thought* I had heard that.....but again, the web is full of BS rumors.....shame, too, 'cause I'm a big Hurricane fan (even though I'm a Gator)....;)

Height isn't always everything and 75 feet is pretty good for a woodie if I do say so myself.

It does have some curves, but it doesn't really look like a twister to me. It looks more like a variation on a double out and back.

Gator - come to think of it you might be right about Coasterworks. Frankly I don't care...its new wood, I'm happy ;-)

75 feet is good enough. Twisted Twins is that tall. The ride sucks but that first drop gives great air in the back and it still gets plenty of speed. I think this ride will do well.

I'd love to see a GCI. In my opinion, they build better coasters than CCI. It'd be great to see them get back to building coasters after a brief hiatus.
