Shanghai, China's commercial hub, plans to add a 660-foot Ferris wheel to its skyline by 2005 - unseating a British wheel as the world's largest, the China Daily newspaper asserted Wednesday, quoting a city newspaper, Shanghai Daily.

Well, if the design is like the London Eye, then there aren't really "gondolas", but rather enclosed pods. You can see this in some of my pictures from last time I visited the Eye.

Wasn't a Casino in Vegas supposed to build that 500+ foot Voyager wheel? I havnt heard about that in a while.
600 feet! Yikes! thats twice the height of a giga coaster. Sounds cool :)
