What an amazing sight it was to watch the massive X train barrel through the course. The train kept a very good speed throughout the entire ride and made it through each element with ease. It actually looked like it may have gone through the second Raven Turn a little too fast I think, but Arrow was prepared for that as there are brackets on the track to add a trim before the Raven Turn.

I guess this picture does answer one question we have had since the day that the animated video's of X came out. Will you be going up the lift hill backwards? It looks like it to me as the seats are facing backwards as it approaches the station from the brake run.

This is so tight, I am going to SFMM on august 30 and the 31, and most likely this bad boy will be open. the line is going to be insane, though but i'll wait forever for this ride.

X ran a few more test runs early this morning. This thing absolutely FLIES through it's brief but intense course. And the seats spin in very quick, jerky movements at certain points in the ride. The last raven turn steals the show, the best element I have seen on a steel coaster.

I have to admit that I thought X was going to be full of problems. But now that it's completed its first test run flawlessly, I think we'll be seeing the opening within a month---maybe even Labor Day weekend!
Meanwhile, over at Déjà Vu... ;)

for the people wondering about facing backwards on the ride.....lets put it this way, if the train is on top of the track you would be facing backwards, if the track is upside down then you would be facing forwards.....sounds confusing but it works, hopefully you guys understood that.

This will kinda make the opening of Deja Vu (if and when it happens) just a bit anti-climactic, no.

I'm excited to see the kind of reviews. Last time I was at SFMM I went home kind of dissapointed in '98, but next chance I get to be there, probably within a couple of years, with the additions of Goliath and X, I almost expect a whole different park, hopefully Deja Vu is running by that time too, even though I'll have already ridden it @ SFGAm if it has. The only worry I have though is that X doesn't perform like everyone thinks it will (I think it'll be good no matter what, but I can see dissapointed people coming in already), but I have a feeling that the majority will not be dissapointed by this, it looks just simply awesome.

And there off. Join us next time when we will keep a close eye on the race to see which new SFMM ride will open first.
This ride is already one of the crasiest rides of all time.

X looks really short. And sinse everyone here is saying that it goes really fast, it seems like the ride will be over really quick. This could be a bit disapointing.
