X completes its first test run at Magic Mountain

What an amazing sight it was to watch the massive X train barrel through the course. The train kept a very good speed throughout the entire ride and made it through each element with ease. It actually looked like it may have gone through the second Raven Turn a little too fast I think, but Arrow was prepared for that as there are brackets on the track to add a trim before the Raven Turn.

I heard something about X starting off with leaving the station backwards. Does anybody know how this whole thing works?

Looking at the cars of X and seeing that you will be going down a 200 foot drop at an 88 degree angle, face down. This is craziness. *** This post was edited by NickNickNick on 8/12/2001. ***

I'd like to take a second and personally thank those who voted here on Coasterbuzz that the coaster wars HAD ended. It appears that the "grand finale" had yet to begin. Wackokid, the GP WILL know about this right away, but if I lived closer than FL, I'd wait if there was a No Shoes policy and the queue was on broken glass. I don't think it would be the greatest idea to look at the ride in action before riding it since it will probably look insane. I remember the first time I went on Viper, I was tripping since i was able to see most of the flips and turns.

You first start of backwards. Then the pre-drop dip is put in so that when you fall into the small dip you are inverted upsidedown for the first drop.

sounds insane dosent it.

Yeah, I'm in Kentucky too, and my chances of getting out to SFMM to ride this are near zero. But I'm following it VERY closely and I want to see this be a winner -- partly because I want one on this side of the Mississippi, partly because it's just a neat concept.

Here I come with my almost famous comment: "I can't wait" But this one is a really special "I can't wait"

Because I won't have to wait much longer, and I'm going the day after Labor Day, when everyone is back to school and work, so there are no lines. Of coure I'll also try to make it the day it opens also.

2 months ago I bet you half of these people were hating on X, but now look at 'em. Love from all corners. It's so hypocritical. But X is gon' be off the hinges.
