German theme park visitors will have more cause for celebration in 2002. Hot on the heels of Holiday Park's Expedition GeForce and Heide Park's Colossos, Europa Park has announced Silver Star, a B&M speed coaster. Towering 240 feet above the ground, the ride will feature a 230 foot, 70º drop, speeds of 80 mph, a total length of 5315 feet, and, of course, plenty of airtime.
Read the press release, in German, at Europa Park's website.

In German? That doesn't help! ;) Head here for more stats, drawings & photos;
www.coaster-network.com/bm/bm/europa.htm Once again Germany does it, not only do they have the biggest Intamin woodie in the world, Colossos @ Heide Park, in a few months they will have the biggest Beemer ever. That's not the end of it, HP has asked Intamin to build them a Gigacoaster rumored to be 340ft tall for 2003!

Looks awesome, unfortunately it's in Germany, someplace that I can't get to in the next, say, 10 years. ;) Oh well, at least it's another Beemer hyper.

It's nice to see B&M getting progressively taller. I salivate at the thought of B&M gigas.

Please spell full words out, SFMM 04...the webmasters frown upon that, and if you start a thread with that type of "English" you can almost guarantee it will be nuked.
Those lift supports look wicked! They look like X's lift supports...freaky.

Actually, SFMM 04, you can read the FAQ about proper English and spelling.
http://www.coasterbuzz.com/forums/faq.asp As for the coaster, it looks like those Germans are getting lucky...

Very Apollo-like, with a few more curves. I think it unfair that Germany be blessed with so much. Selfish Deutsch people. By the way SFMM 04, bad practices become bad habits.
