Yes, this is another X update

Supports have gone up for the exit to the second raven turn. At spots it looks like there are serious clearance issues which should really add to the ride. Some track has gone up for the bunny hop/backflip element following the first raven turn.

3 things:
1) Great shots!
2)This is just what we need, another coaster that will be shut down due to the cars being cut off! :) (in case nobody caught that, its a joke)
3)I think that the so many supports, unless the cars are incredabily heavy, is a little overkill. But thats just my opinion. It will be sweet flying through the supports. Just heed the warning, keep your hands, legs, and arms inside the car at all times.

Check out the second pic [top row, second from left] on page two. Follow the track of the first drop and as it begins the pull-out take a look at the first support the track goes behind. Notice the far end of that support has a 'notch' in it so that trains going down the drop will clear it. That support reminds me of the one on KBF Jaguar's first drop that is angled the same so that the Falling Star clears the track. As if being flipped around isn't enough X is going to have some WICKED head, foot, arm....heck, let's just call them body choppers! LOL!

I have never seen so many supports in my life. Wow, those photos have brightened my otherwise lousy morning.

Now why couldn't all this construction happen in Jan/Feb? "They" could be nearly done with the construction if "they" started in the month after the ride was officially announced.

StealthF5m3: I'm sure "they" got started as early as they could. A bit difficult to construct something when the pieces are not manufactured.

Since this is a new type of coasters with new track and rolling stock; all heavier than conventional coasters, I'll bet the engineering and manufacture of parts for this thing took a lot longer than a 'normal' coaster.

And yup, this is a VERY dangerous part of the country for earthquakes. The park is very close to the San Andreas fault. The mountains in the area are among the most tectonically active in the world!

Well wouldn't Arrow manufacture the parts 6 months before the ride is scheduled to be announced?

Not that much time had passed between the time the deal was made and the park's announcement. According to my sources all the Six Flags coaster deals were made at or after the IAAPA convention late last year.

AWESOME! That's really the only word that describes it. Simply awesome. I'm still not really liking the colors though, but that's a little nitpicky of me I know. ;) This is going to be one intense and amazing ride imo. Can't wait. Hopefully it tests ok and opens soon. :)
