This is going to be the best coaster out there. Ill bet within the next 5 years at least 6 parks will build one of these just because its going to be the most popular ride at SFMM

"roller coaster favorite ride let me kiss you one last time"-blink 182
Yeah, it will be great, but seems short at only 40 seconds from the time it leaves the chain to finish. And everything appears to happen in that first drop, just like most coasters. The fans come off saying, "The First Drop.".
I hope the next 4-D is longer than 40 seconds.
Please Six Flag, don't clone this version. Design a new one from scratch and make it LONGER.

Robin Fox - "I see Stars, Can You See Them Too?"
It's about time they put those two last stair sections on the drop. For some reason that was really getting to me. I sure hope X has cool lights like MF because with a ride this new an inovative they better not just use some cheap fog lights. Maybe have strobe lights in sections where the seats rotate, that would be awesome.

"This time I think ... I think it's ... it's going to work!" - Dr.Bruce Banner
robvia: Not sure why you think all the action is in the first drop. In addition to the two raven turns there is at least one bunny hop where riders flip...that sounds like action to me. I do agree, however, that 40 seconds is a tad short but on the flip-side you gotta credit SFMM for building such a large version of a prototype. We could have easily ended up with something MUCH smaller.
I'm a little worried that some people are setting their expectations for this ride a lot higher than the should. I honestly don't think there's any way X can live up to some of the hype about it. I'm not saying I'm not impressed with those pics, who wouldn't be? But I think a lot of people should wait until they ride it to say it's the best coaster ever. Just my opinion:). But awesome pics by the way!

At the turn of the Millennium, there were signs.
Once again Mamoosh, your right on the mark. X could have easily been Stealth/X-flight, 100ft tall, no vertical drop at all and 2,000ft of track. I'm still impressed that Arrow went this big with a prototype.

"Quite simply, our goal was to create the single most frightening thrill ride on the planet" -Arrow Dynamics on X.
Is X a 4d coaster or a 5d coaster.
4d, i cant imagine what the 5th "d" would be

The first drop is scary but the rest will hardly be dull. the second raven, which we soon will see is my bet as to what people will be talking about
Y'all, what happens if this coaster isn't a success (it probably will be a success, but JUST A THOUGHT)?

Don't Fight It: Ride It! Raging Bull
New to the forum but a long-time coaster enthusiast. I am from the SoCal area (Newport Beach) and was just at SFMM on Friday. X looks great, as does Deja Vu.
My question is regarding the 4th attraction. Talk on this site has claimed it would be an "ejector seat" type ride. What is an "ejector seat" type ride? Is it the kind of thing like Supreme Scream and Knotts or Big Shot in Las Vegas?
Just Curious.
PS Heading back to SFMM in September or whenever they open Deja Vu and X.
Check out the 3rd person POV on this site. My god that drops gonna be insane!!!
there is yet another update from twistedrails up now- deja vu testing, 4th att. vertical, and x turnaround and 2nd raven turn
check it out!
