WYG Oracle... CP needs to focus on all park guests... instead of the mega coaster every other year. While I enjoy the new breed of coasters, between rides it's nice to cool off in a dark ride. With the closing of the Pirate Ride a few years ago, CP no longer has any typical dark rides. I hopw they don't just throw in a simulator, they need something along the lines of their old Earthquake, WDW's Mr Toad WR, or WDW's Pirates of the Carib. While CP has stated that viable attraction space is at a minimal, they still have plent of room to expand. (Even more if they pull the "park on the mainland, ride the monorail to the point" plans out of mothballs.) It seems like everytime they expand, they tear out more of camper village, or Frontier Town / Trail. If they finally decide to make parking on the mainland a reality, it would at least double the attraction area possibilities. Years ago, families would plan on making CP their summer vacation. Now, after talking the next generation of vacation planners, they skip CP as the main family get-away, and go to BG Williamsburg or WDW... then it's the teenager's who get together for a day trip to CP to ride coasters. If they bring back the family element, they will attract longer stays and ensure the generational flocking that they have enjoyed in the past.
Anyone remember the old CP logo? The Space Needle, the train and the Giant Wheel... and the flags? If you have old (pre 1976) park maps or logos, let me know.
